I know I am jumping the gun here, but...
I just started training in September for the Jan 5K. I've NEVER run/jogged in my LIFE before. I'm already thinking..."What's next" When I'm done w/ the 5K. Where do I go from there?
For you seasoned Long Distance competitors. Do you think it would be too soon to attempt the 15K at the Minnie in May? I've heard that you need to have "base" miles which I really don't have. And again, i'm not that fit. I can barely do my C25K plan. Should I just keep training and gradually adding miles and start to seriously train in the fall for January 2009 half instead?
I don't want to overstress my body and then get all discouraged and give up, but I feel like I need something else to strive for...
Opinions???
Thanks guys!!!

) but I just have to say - NO - its not too soon to attempt the 15k in May. I started running/jogging/walking (I do a combination of the 3) in June (I did run/walk for 3 months the previous year and then quit.) before that I had never really done any running except in middle school and that wasn't very good either. I was able to finish the TOT 13k in what I consider a reasonable time (even though I wish it could have been closer to Ryan Hall's times but that is another story
- 15 miles in 1:15)

- so I have not run at all. I'll be back at it this weekend though!
