Hi all!!
Tomorrow is the big day for me.... 20 weeks out from Marathon Weekend-- the start of "real" training.

I'm rather looking forward to it, suprisingly.
Mel-- Great job on your run. And a big THANK YOU as we get into the fall for keeping this thread running over the past couple of years.
HoustonMouse-- Lurking less is alwayus a good thing!

As for treadmill vs. pavement running-- I'm of the opinion that they are two different beasts to a point, so I might start incorporating some outdoor runs. As the weather cools down there (it does cool down there, right??), then you'll probably want to move outdoors even more.
Sunny-- Great to hear you moving again!
Denny-- Great job with the runs. I honestly think you are fine for an early October half. If you plan on tapering starting three weeks out anyhow, you'll be just fine for the race.
Terri-- Your taper sounds fine by me. Cutting back on your distance is what it's all about.
Pungodingy-- Wfloyd gave you pretty much all the info you'd need on gel. I will mention that you'll want to try out a few to determine which flavor/brand you prefer. Some gels are caffinated, so you might want to play with that as well.
Disneyland Halfers-- It's official... I'm totally jealous.
And now... a Public Service Announcement: Dear Missing WISH Runners/Walkers/Woggers-- Please check in!! We miss you all. How are things going?!? Even if you aren't really training or have run into some difficulty. We don't bite!!
I'm sure I missed a ton of stuff from last week, but must run (so to speak) for now.
Kevin
