Thanks for the advice everybody. I've decided to take a week break from running and try to rest my legs.
Carrie I've done a 7-miler--which was the longest that my 15k plan called for. So mentally, I know I can do that much anyway. Plus, coursewise, 7 miles takes you to the path from DHS to the Boardwalk. Mentally, if I can make it that far, I know I can go the rest of the way!
Amy Fortunately, no aches/pain/tenderness when I'm not running. The best way to describe it is it feels like muscle fatigue. But I'm going to treat it like it is "early shin splints". So now anyone who walks by my office may see me with my legs up on a chair, ice on both shins, laptop in my....lap (how novel!)
Didn't work this hard for the last 3 months to blow it all now. And yes, while I appreciate how much I've accomplished so far.....I STILL WANT THE BLING!
