Well FINE!! Guess this studmuffin just isn't enough of for the Ladies of WISH anymore..... Stomps over to Huffy bike.... rides off......
:rotfl: DAng! You're going to get me fired and I like my job. I'd say you're all they eye candy we women need, but you know I don't like theese things to go to your head. So, suffice it to say we a reneedy women and never can get enough eye candy! ;) Dang, I miss eeing you here regularly.

Stacie - Tsk. Tsk. You know sweet tea doesn't really ocunt as hydration, right? You must get on teh ball this next week or WDW will hit you hard. :guilty:

Hi everybody!!
Hope ya'll have great workouts or rest days!!

I can't wait til TOT so that I can see all my friends again.

Krista: when I was late in pregnacy with DD21, she would shift her whole body to one side of my stomach, usually the right side. My left side would be totally flat and I would have this weird looking bump on my right side. She also would get hiccups often. Enjoy your little alien and the memories he gives you!!

Judy: I am still here. I am glad that I had both my feet done at the same time. I think I would have chickened out otherwise.

CosiBella: Welcome

Enjoy the Minnie Weekend everybody!!

Erica:)

Cosi Bella...I sorta think of John Bingham as a minor deity, so also recommend Marathoning for Mortals. Several of us did his CDC half last year...very cool! My one piece of advice from someone who screwed up their marathon training last year...don't blow off the short runs! The base runs are hugely important in giving you the endurance for the LR.

Kevin...did I see you were getting a zebra tattoo? ;)

Oh pooh...need to run DD15 up to school. She's off to see the Wiz (she's the costumer for the school production)

Solo Kevin:  Sooo good to see you!!! Your runs sound very consistent..and hey....training runs aren't for land speed records..save that for the races ;). I'm glad we'll be seeing you at Minnie!!!

Michelle: WTG on setting up a solid training plan and working towards building that base! I will chime in that Bingham's MFM is the best information out there for those new to the sport. Most importantly it builds mileage safely...with lots of sound advice! :thumbsup2

Morgan: YAY for another 5K :).

Debra: Since I've already got 2 cats...i could definitely use a Debra. You're adopted!

Carrie: (in my best Homer Simpson)....mmmmm....dooooughnuts. :lovestruc

NE Bill: I promise, I'm still working on it!!! ;)

Stacie: It was the aliens...I had a super stinky 5 Miler yesterday too. No worries...we shall just pretend it never happened. Shhhhh. :rolleyes1

KevinZ: Safe travels!!! Wow...those dust storms...yikes!!!! :(

Howard: :cool1: Woo-hoo for joining the Minnie crew! No worries on the training....you're uber runner, can't fool us!

Krista: Going to take you and Stephen up on that night out during Marathon weekend. yay for grandparents!!! :cloud9:

Scott Armstrong: OK..wow your new passion is the cycling:). That's so cool...I can't wait to hear about the Tour de Georgia leg you're watching this weekend! Sounds pretty intense! As long as you don't have to witness the nature break:scared1: . Isn't that what it's called. Have fun during your Tour de Neighborhood tonight. Way to rack up those miles for da' bunnies *hip hop a hippity hip hop a hip hop hippity doo* (A little old school eminem SNL. I'm probably the only person who gets that.) :rotfl:

As for moi
.....Yesterday's 5 Miler was total poo (and I'm not talking about that tubby little cubby). Awful...from the first step to the last...it stunk. I was dehydrated I believe (VERY SALTY after the run). I had the girls with me and they were on bikes riding the trail...at mile 3 they asked "can we go to the playground" and I GLADLY said yes...as I flopped on a bench and tried to find the energy to run the final two miles. Today is much better....haircut, shopping for disney, spin class and then a softball game. Yay...cannot wait to get to Disny next week!!! :woohoo:

To Jackie adn ANgie and all of those who said they've never finished what tehy started: That is not the way I have ever seen you adn it shockes me to hear you say that. Just thought you'd like to know that the women I see are much more determined and courageous than teh people you see in teh mirror. A WISHer once shared this with me and I hope she doesn't mind me sharing.

Me:

**If teh author of this quote doesn't mind taking credit for it, please let me know. :goodvibes

That was me! :lovestruc I really do WISH we could all see ourselves the way the WISH team sees us. We really are fantastic! :grouphug:

I completely agree with this statement. I have the hardest time remembering it though after all those months of training. The time cmes closer and by that time I am so tired of training and just ready for the race to get here. So... .I blow off all the short runs!! :confused3 I pay for it every year too!!

Oh Kevin, you know we can never get enough of your Zebra Butt!!!!!! :lmao: It's just the more eye candy the better as far as the Minnie Girls are concerned. ;)

Heather - Thansk fro claiming your quote. (And, hopefully not minding tha tI posted it) An all-time fave of mine. You are now duly credited on my post.

I don't have time to respond for real now, but I just had to say I've missed you, Kevin and I hope life lets you come back and post again!!!! By the way, how are your boys doing? :dog:

I'll be back later tonight to talk!

Krista

Since I haven't been around for a while.....

..... Finishers certificates?? Am I the only one who HASN'T gotten them yet??

Kevin :earsboy:

MS Dave – Hey there! Good to see you again! Good luck on getting that new job.

Christa – Sorry about the lousy run.

Krista – “May or may not have stayed up until midnight?” Sounds like me half the time. Can’t wait to see those pages! I can’t believe that a second grader is worried about getting fat. :sad2:

Scott – I’m working on doing the DL trip over Labor Day just so I can do the DL Half. I’m having a harder and harder time trying to talk myself out of it, so I’m really hoping that we’ll be able to do it! BTW, I just love those penguin avatars that you and Amy have – they make me smile every time I see them. :)

Debra – Yes, there’s just something about DL, isn’t there? Of course, I still haven’t made my way over to WDW, and I’ve wanted to since I was about 5 years old. Part of me is afraid that it will be a disappointment after all these years of dreaming of going there. Good luck finding a new place – how many cats do you have? We’ve got two big, fat, lazy tabbies (seriously, they weigh 16 and 19 pounds).

Stacie – Sorry about the bad run. It does sound like you may not have been hydrated enough. Hope tomorrow's is much better!

Morgan – Yay for signing up for your next 5K!

Amy - Sorry about the bad run. Seems like they're going around, doesn't it?

As for Me - Today is W2D2 of C25K for me - though I'm going to wait until just before sunset to go do it, I think. Didn't have a chance to go earlier and it's pretty darn warm out right now.

Well said! :thumbsup2 And somehow you have my limited sympathy Mr. Lives-in-paradise-but-can't-make-a-day-trip-to-Disney! (yeah that's some suffering over there! (okay okay it's Disney and you do get some sympathy!)

Claire : I've said it before, so I'll say it again... Someone has to live here, so it might as well be me!

:beach:

I'm related to too many of mine, and they keep figuring out where I live.

THAT'S also why I live here, there's half of the Pacific Ocean that separates me from those related to me! :rotfl: :scared1: :rotfl2: :cool1:

Uuuugh, is it Friday yet? Or better yet the weekend?

GOOD EVENING WONDERFUL WISH TEAM!!!

I'm trying to pretend like I'm not in a funk instead that I am completely pumped up, is it working!!??? I'm just kidding, I just had to come here to get some of the inspiration and wonderful words of wisdom that I have received so many times before.

I did 3.5 miles tonight, stayed at a nice easy pace, about a 10 to 11 minute pace. Speaking of that pace Howard - I am soooo exicted you are coming to MINNIE  and maybe your dear wife will let me borrow you for the race and run that pace with you. :confused3

Also Scott thanks for asking, today is the best my back has felt yet but feeling like a blimp because while I have been "resting" I have been PIGGING OUT!! Yes, me the one who never eats, but it's been all crap and now I feel :scared1:

So I really WISH I could get myself syked for next weekend but I seem to be in such a funk!! Well it better go away because I'm NOT going to stand for it. I finally get to back to DISNEY for goodness sake, my happy place!!!:cool1:

I really truly am sorry that I have not been posting to everyone, I can't post from work anymore and every night this week when I come home I have literally been sitting with ice on my back. But guess what, I have off work tomorrow!!!! One of the awesome things about my new job, every other Fridya off - would have been nice if it was the Friday of MINNIE but we can't have it all right?

Angie  Seems you need one of those! Look at it this way if you can....it's WDW...there's lots of great people there for all of us to run with.....just let it go in your mind and allow yourself to have fun. I have to say that probably THE MOST FUN I've ever had at a race...wait let me say....the most fun running ever....was the WDW Half this year. The question is...why was it fun??? Because I allowed myself to not worry about pace. Due to Goofy....knowing the marathon was the following day...I just relaxed and enjoyed every second........the time spent just taking it all in. Try to do that..despite the injury and disappointment. here's another one

Craig,

I was just going to let your comment about being a peripheral member slide but I just couldn't. My immediate thoughts were you are a very integral part of the WISH team and a huge wealth of knowledge. Then upon analyzing it further (a cause of why I always fail standardized tests :rolleyes1 ) I came up with a way you could be a peripheral member. So here are the results of my analysis.

After observing you the past few years (yes while I have migrated to the perimeter of the crowds), you do tend to stay towards the outside but while there you are constantly watching over the well being of the entire group. Instead of pulling people in, you are in the position to push/encourage (or give the swift kick to the bottom to those who need it ;) )people to do the right thing. You make sure team mates don't do stupid things during training when they get injured, make sure that people who get discouraged have support, give valuable advise to those who may be lost in what they should be doing, and it goes on. In that light, you are a very integral part of the team and if you weren't here, there would be a big hole.

Now if you mean you aren't a critical part of the team, well that would show that you had a little too much of unknown substances while you were at that college in Austin. ;)

I know personally I have learned a lot from listening to you and am very grateful that I have the opportunity to sit and learn.

Bill

Did it! C25K W2D2: 2.16 miles in 30:25. I also learned that even if it's not bright outside, I should always wear a hat. Having stray hairs flying into my mouth for the entire WO? Not fun.

Stacie: Yes!! Hydrate, hydrate - warm weather requires it!! Good luck on the new route, a river view sounds nice.

Michelle: Sounds like your on your way to doing the Marathon. Having your shoes fit at a good running store is important. I am a walker and tend to do it every so often- like a checkup.

Amy: Sorry to see you had a Poop of a run. It'll be better next time.

Debra: LOST IS ON AS I TYPE THIS - (some guy just washed up on shore) I only got alittle bit dirty today during my training walk. hehe.

Jeff: LOST IS ON AS I TYPE!! Thanks for the link - You look great in the photo and I'M JEALOUS!!

Solotraveler (?Kevin?) - Hey back to you neighbor!! My opinion of the Fort Lauderdale A1A Half marathon .....hmmmm now remember I am a racewalker so my view may be very different. Compared to WDW, ING Miami and Ft. Lauderdale, I would rank them as #1WDW, #2 Ing Miami and #3 Ft. Lauderdale. I wasn't too impressed with the course all that much and not alot of people along the route. And I don't know about you, but being that I live here and grew up here, the course was somewhat boring. I would say that 80% of the course is North and South on A1A with wind blowing at you. I am not sure I would do it again. It was only the 3rd year, so maybe give it some more time before I would think of doing it again.

As for me (sorry I'm typing during commercials) I did 4 miles after work today. Did pretty good but felt a bit sluggish today. Hydration was fine, but just think I was/am tired. I will try to stretch before bed with my new foam roller.

Good evening all you WISHERS!!
