Hello everyone!

For those new to us, we are a group of people who are planning to participate in walking/running events throughout the year. For most of us, the ultimate goal is to train and compete in the annual WDW Half/Full marathons. We'll also be posting news and training for various other events throughout the year. We range from beginners to triathletes. Come join us, whether you're training for an event or walking/running for fitness!

New WISH Team members. If you read one thing over and over, believe this. Being part of this team is fantastic. Part of the ride you get for the event is what I call the roller coaster. There will be lots of ups and downs. The more you post here, the more you will find yourself enjoying the ride. It is an incredible journey. Don't be afraid, shy or whatever to come here and just post up anything. You don't have to know us right away, or all of us at all. You will get to know some of us. It makes the event you are enjoying have MORE meaning and we love to have you.

Happy Easter!

The eggs are found, the bunnies are earless...training on hold for today.

Hope everyone is enjoying their respective holidays!

Hi WISH Team! Here's WISHing you a great day!

Training is slow, I'll complete Country Music Marathon in a couple of weeks. It will be fun, but it won't be pretty. It's a lovely day and I'm hoping to get out for just a moment before dinner guests arrive later afternoon.

Happy Easter everyone!!

Today my mom and I walked the dog 7.4 miles, we are now too tired to do anything...the dog is ready for another walk.
This is her on the walk, she carries her own water!

Mel: (shouldn't this be the week of April 12th? - just wandering)

How's it going everyone! I did a nice 4 miles this morning before heading out to the sister's house for family time and food!! I hit a wall and came home to take a nap.

Work tomorrow for me. It's going to be a long day.

Have a great Easter everyone!!

Racey Tracy

Too much chocolate and Easter brunch makes me slow down. I did 12 miles in 1 hr 45 minutes. Not too bad but significantly slower than my 11 miler last sunday. I blame the bunny!

Hi - I'm new to this site, but I'm an avid runner (I ran the disney marathon in 2002 and the 1/2 in 2006). I'm planning on running the 1/2 again, maybe next year or maybe the princess 1/2... we'll see.

I look forward to getting to know you all!

:stitch: 'OHANA MONDAY MIXER :stitch:

The mixer starts HERE on the thread.

A spring chick told me that many of us gave up goodies for Lent. Now that Lent has ended, Monday is a good time for this mixer question:

What is one healthy food you always have in your kitchen? What is one less-than-healthy food you always have in your kitchen?

Feel free to post pictures, talk about how the foods help you in your training (either as nutrition or reward), and confess to guilty pleasures and happy indulgences!

Welcome to the WISH Team. It will be fun to get to know you and share training experiences.

We got out with Kirby Dog for a 2-miler today, then it was family time and now it's about time for sleep. Hope everyone had a great day. We did.

Hello Wishers! I hope everyone had a Happy Easter and Passover! I got new sneakers this weekend and plan on using them tonight. I may have to run out to the running store though because I forgot to get the pocket for my nike plus. Hopefully I'll get there in time.

Good afternoon, fellow WISHers.

Now that the chocolate themed holiday is over, I can get back to my old routine, which I fell out of several weeks ago!

Got my workout clothes in the car, so I'm heading right to the Y after work. That is unless I get a better offer from someone else, say for dinner out...

Hi All!
I have been MIA for a while. Life has just been crazy.

Still planning to do Country Music, but based on my last few runs it's going to be ugly LOL! Did five miles yesterday. I think it's the pollen that's killing me, but who knows!

Hope eveyone has a good week!

Just finished week 2 of Couch to 5K tonight. 2.5 miles in 38 minutes. I really envy all of these "just a lazy 6 miles today" posts! :)

Anyway I going slightly farther, slightly faster each time. Small victories.

Not sure if everyone is getting photos from Matt's "thndrmatt" (Fantasia Mickey WISH Cheerleader) Adventure in Asia before his Ironman China. Those on Facebook are probably seeing them.
He posts pictures for each day that they are there. Very cute!

Day 1
Day 2
Day 3
Day 4
Day 5

Enjoy!!

Tracy

sk8ingmom Congrats on finishing week 2 of C25K. Every distance, every pace you complete is an accomplishment that you should be proud of. I understand your reaction to some of the posts around here--the people who can just do an "easy" run of 8-10 miles are pretty amazing, and often times intimdating. But just focus on yourself and what you have done.

Tracy You got me all excited about seeing Matt's pictures....but I'm not on Facebook. :sad2:

swmr359 Love the dog pack. I should look into doing that for my Buddy--for once HE should do the work when we walk!

anotherdisneygal Welcome! Hope to hear more about you and your training in the months to oxcme.

I'm back to work after a long weekemnd. Will spend the day feeling guilty for not getting to the gym more on the off days--yesterday I napped instead!

You will get there. I envy everyone who gets out and does any movement, whatever the distance and speed since I don't get out nearly as much as I want. It's a great feeling!

Tracy, I've been following Matt's pictorial report. It is a fantastic journey and the only way I'll ever get close to the experience. Great idea to post it for everyone here.

I'm waiting for a repair person to show up so I can get out before it starts raining again. I really don't want to run/walk/wog in the rain, it's bad enough when I choose to sing in the rain. Here's hoping.
