Sunny-- Yeah, I totally would have picked up that jacket too.

That said, if someday I get the opportunity to run the Boston Marathon, you better believe I will never, ever get rid of my nice windbreaker. (Much like the Disney one I purchased.)
Amy-- I am going to disagree slightly with the advice given to you so far. One of the things to be aware of during your taper is that you don't want to do anything in terms of training that you haven't done before, and the closer you get to the race, the more important that becomes. So, if you will be on the roads for your training in NJ, I think that hitting the treadmill the week before, if you haven't been using it up to that point, could be a mistake. For me personally, if I haven't been running on a treadmill regularly, I get weird little pangs in my shins, my knees, etc.... and you don't want to have that happen the week before. So my advice is: Go, have fun. If you can get outside and run or walk, great! If the weather or time doesn't permit, that's OK (After all, you are skiing and that is a fairly active pursuit.) Just relax, get in what you can and don't overdo it. (Just my .02 however....)
I want to shoot for seven miles today, but I won't be getting out until this afternoon. The house looks like a tornado hit it and I have to take care of that in addition to recovering from the Worst. Dinner. Party. Ever. last night.
OK, have a great day!
