Stephanie: Oooh, so you mean the music I picked out for you is the music you like? Are you sure you're not a figment of my imagination? Maybe I've made all of WISH up???

Oh, and Jeff's such a bad influence on us, isn't he? My brother and I fought like cats and dogs growing up--I think moms need serious refereeing skills.
Aloha Jeff: I used to think you owned stock in Dairy Queen or BR, now I know it's Tucker's. (Which is very holiday-in-paradise picturesque.) I have to admit, we do buy Ben & Jerry's in quantity, even if I try to restrict the portion sizes. No DQ for me, not locally. I do have Rita's Ice around here, although I'm not sure of the appeal. It seems to be a local favorite. Fort Island Bridge run. Brilliant idea, just brilliant! (Tasty, too.)
Sorry about your Stonker run. Maybe I should break out in a chorus of "Tomorrow" from
Annie? I'd feel sorrier for your run, but 1) you always have such an upbeat attitude, 2) you've now moved to taunting us with the "Coast to Coast" medal, and 3) you live and run in HI.
Howard: Okay, you've convinced me. Tomorrow I try the cool video bike. What's the worst that will happen? I gain another addiction and some sore muscles. Eh, I've done worse. I can't imagine rolling out of bed for a 6 miler without fueling first. I suppose that ability comes with time and experience, huh? (Not that it's necessarily good, just that I'd like to know I could do it if I had to.)
Ang: Cute, cute, cute photo of DS. A real heart-breaker and ladies man in the future, I'm sure. But the picture didn't distract me from asking my real question: Did you run today?!
Angie: Nice, nice variety with the WOs. How is your running program progressing? And let me know what DS thinks of The Dark Knight. It's a sad but true fact that I probably have more in common with his pop-culture tastes than with many adults'.
Racey Tracy: How did I possibly miss you in my last post??

I must have had problems thinking of the appropriately clever, slightly Trashy thing to say. Let's see if I can make up for it...

Oh, I agree with the green a WISH ice cream. Are there Mickey chocolate chunks available? Would it include something nutty. Just sayin'.....

I hope your next work week is relaxing and stress-free, to give you time to train, maybe work on an ice-cream recipe. Thanks for volunteering for the full, and I'll expect to see you out there...dancing.

I'm doing the 1/2 and just waiting to hear from my ILs to figure out if waterstops #2/#9 will work for them. Jury's still out...
Jennifer: Perky morning runners. Ooooh, we hates them.

Morning runner? Yes, I am. Caffeinated, even overly caffeinated? Yes, I am? Perky? Nope, nothing on this body can be described as such. I'll just have to live vicariously through you. And your great runs!
Claire: Not one for the green ice cream generally, aside from mint? I wish I could say I was choosy... Maybe something with crushed oreos to represent how we crush the pavement? (Just looking at your oreo cupcake with buttercream icing post and thinking, "Now why am I hungry?" You folks are going to force me to take an extra few laps every day, just to offset the thoughts of such goodies.) Good luck with your fondant, your classes, and your speedwork/runs!
Cam: Regarding post-run ice cream and alcohol. To coin a phrase, it's post-run somewhere, right? Bring on the margaritas! I'm so happy for you that you're loving the running and finding yourself looking for hilly challenges. That's great!

My MfM book is by my nightstand. It helps ward away that "what am I thinking" nightmares.
Judy: How's the ice-cream and alcohol fueling plan for WISHers coming? I'm in need of a quick shot of running inspiration!
Kayci: I don't know quite what the pain could be, but it sounds like you're doing a good job following RICE. Are you doing a full warm up and stretching consistently? Yay for deciding to do the Princess 1/2 and with a friend and running partner. Does it get any better than that?
Steve and Krista: I already posted in the other thread, but
Carter's birth is worthy of a big woohoo and congratulations over here!

Give him (and Hines, and you two) hugs from us!
Maura: And how was Traverse City, Blizzard notwithstanding? What's this year's cherry crop like? (Go Tigers!)
Kristi: Awww, mom stories! How does Zack feel about the hugging and kissing these days?
Ms. Duckie: I hope you enjoyed your time at Disney and WL, the lack of Dole Whip notwithstanding. How on earth did that happen?

I'm not sure Tracey and Jeff should be teasing you about your many, many trips to Disney, despite being on Mickey restriction. That's MY job! (And will you and DH adopt me--I'm young...at heart.) And you have to go to DL--it's fantastic! So what happens at teacher's camp? Whose bra do they run up the flagpole? (Ah, the traumatic stories of my youth...).
Stacie: I'm actually starting my marathon training this weekend. I'm a bit prone to injury and want to use the extra time to add mileage. I ran smack into the 20 mile wall last year and thought, "That's it, I'm done. Where are the margaritas?" So I'm planning on doing more miles over a longer training period to build physical strength and overcome my mental weaknesses. (At least one of them--there are so many to choose from.) So I agree with Tracy on this one.
Leana: Total Body Endurance....sounds promising. As does the Edmonton tri. I think you just have to do it--after all, it's the last one of the season. You have to have something to tide you over, right?
MB Michelle: I blame Jeff for my eating ice cream (and DOOD, of course). But mostly Jeff. It's the only area in which I can keep up with him.

Now, your running coach sounds very reasonable in his approach--and your appreciation of Mocha Almond Fudge speaks very highly of your good taste. I could definitely hang with you--near your freezer, I think. Yay for offsetting the sweet, cool goodness of ice cream with a good LR. That's an unbeatable combo.
As for me: Lots of little things going on. Signing up as a waterstop volunteer at the 1/2 (ILs are on the fence). Starting marathon training this weekend with my first LR. Going to see
Annie Get Your Gun tonight--pinky-pistol-packing mamas make me happy. (How's that for a shout-out, Tracy?)
Speaking of shout-outs, here's a couple. Yoo hoo?
AmyBeth, Scott? I know you're not still in Vegas......
