Universal Orlando has expanded the offerings on their preview website for the Wizarding World of Harry Potter land set to open its first stage this spring. It includes a new interactive map along with descriptions of all the rides and attractions. There’s also a first-person perspective, photo-realistic video of Hogsmeade and Hogwarts castle, the Wizarding World News, which will provide guests with information about The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and a place to send Owl Post e-cards for friends and family.

Here is the link to preview it

So, looking at the details, is there only one new ride, one new restaurant but six new shops?

Some great stuff on that website, I kind of don't want to look to spoil the surprises.

I just can't wait to see this! We are staying at Universal our first 4 nights but can't go in on our first full day as we want to go back with my parents when they fly out 15 days later and our pass is only valid for 14 days!! It will be awful being that close and not going in!!!

Yes, in my opinion it is highly disappointing considering it was advertised as a "whole new theme park within a theme park". The Hogwarts Castle ride is the ONLY new attraction. They have done some re-theming of Duelling Dragons and the other kiddy-coaster, and then added a few themed shops. Personally, I'm disappointed and expected much more given the level of anticipation they have built up.

Had that very conversation with my daughter this morning. Ah well, at least we won't be expecting much and can only be pleasantly surprised, right!!??? ;)

I saw the new advert for it on ITV on Monday night and got all excited. I know it's not all brand spanking new but it's Harry Potter people...yeah!!

Yep - that's exactly what it looks like to me...

Exactly that Ladies .Duelling Dragons-will be re-named Dragon Challenge,The Flying Unicorn will be re-named Flight Of The Hippogriff, and the only new ride is called Harry Potter+The Forbidden Journey,I don't think they needed 6 shops :confused3.x.

I am looking forward to HP :thumbsup2

I must admit to being a little dissappointed in the menu for the Three Broomsticks if I'm honest. Bearing in mind that the whole Harry Potter story, author and characters are British I was expecting something more than turkey legs, mac 'n' cheese and strawberry and peanut butter ice cream or chocolate trifle. :confused3

I can't wait to see it! I'm flying out from the UK in a couple month for 14 days and my whole family are planning to visit the park :) I know this might be a stupid question, I'm trying to get organised, but what is the park like for accepting chip and pin cards? I have a UK prepaid card (caxton fx dollar card) which Iam planning to bring or is it better to just use cash? Thanks

Welcome to DISboards.:goodvibes
I believe the card you have has the Mastercard emblem on, its accepted everywhere as far as I know, I use Post Office Credit card which is Mastercard, used it for about 4 or 5 trips now without a problem although you don't use the chip & PIN. You either sign or many places not even a signature if under as certain amount.
