With the new $4.00 snack limit, do you think these may be included as "snacks"?

I have seen that the new snack plan includes items under $4.00, bakery items included. Do you think that "egg sandwiches" which are under $4.00 would be included? This would sure go a long way to maximize the plan by being able to get breakfast as a snack.

What do yu all think?

sandwiches, pizza, crepes and funnel cake are all excluded from the snack list.

I'm just curious how you know that funnel cake is excluded??

But if it's under $4.00, why wouldn't these things be included?

Disney sells a ton of items under $4 and they have to able to distinguish what a snack is. I think the new list is more then wonderful. I am sure part of it that they want the people not using snacks as meals but as snacks. I think it is a wonderful part of the plan as it is!

I'm curious too. I know that I read pizza was excluded, but had not seen anything about funnel cakes. I love the funnel cakes  and if they aren't considered a snack then I will just pay for it, but it would be nice if they are considered a snack for the credits. :thumbsup2

I swore on the snack thread it was stated that funnel cakes WERE a snack.

It will be interesting to find out as more DISers return from recent trips.

As for sandwiches, I'm thinking that would be a "counter service" meal credit.

funnel cakes and crepes are now listed with a price of $4.09, which is over the $4.00 limit for snacks.
try to keep up.

Wow, someone needs some pixie dust today?? :confused3

No need to be so nasty. I'm not at Disney right now so I don't have access to the Sleepy Hallow menu to see the price it is. All I have to go by is allearsnet.com's menu which says it was $3.29 as of 7/05

sorry to bother you.

The snack credit is for snacks, so we can expect that it won't include anything that folks could use as a meal. You would use meal credits for meals. :teacher:

That "try to keep up" comment had me laughing out loud. :) Seriously - the kids want to know what's so funny. It's hard to read emotion, but I took it as a harmless thing entirely. :) (And rather clever)

Clever? LOL, hardly. I think it's just someone who woke up on the wrong side of the bed today. There is no need for such nastiness, it was a harmless question.

My son and I love funnel cakes. :cheer2: I'm trying to figure out if they'll be included with the plan or not.

No need for anyone to get nasty.

And it was a harmless comment. I truly don't understand the sensitivity on these forums. :confused3

As to the snack additions. Be glad they added anything. When the sat down and started trying to come up with a snack list, they realized there were over 1500 items that might be considered a snack at WDW.

Now that would be a serious list to keep up with. :thumbsup2

Hi! princess:

Funnel cakes...on the list or not...they are definitely on the top of my list to get in August!!!!!!!!!!!!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I have a cynical thought. I am wondering how many of the snacks that are presently a bit under $4 will soon be increased to be a bit above? :confused3

It would probably be a good thing for my diet if it is so though. :cool1:

Maybe they're just trying to reduce some of the confusion, by making the eligible items more closely aligned to a dollar-amount. If so, it would make sense to consider each item that is near the border and decide which side of the border they belong on.

I guess I just took it as a comment in regard to how quickly Disney changes things - sometimes things are snacks, sometimes they're meals, sometimes they're excluded, etc. I mean, I've read on several threads CMs who didn't even know- when they were working there - and it was on the board! :)

It's hard to "keep up" :)

"Keep Up"?? I am lucky if I can stay even. The times are a changing and I am running to 'keep up'. :sunny:
