With the new $4.00 snack limit, do you think these may be included as "snacks"?

Ok I am a bit out in the middle of no where here, so for not keeping up. Is there a place where it shows the new info on the ddp, this 4.00 limit would be great as long as they don't "boost" the prices of several other items in the process. Thanks for all your help.

And it was a harmless comment. I truly don't understand the sensitivity on these forums. :confused3

As to the snack additions. Be glad they added anything. When the sat down and started trying to come up with a snack list, they realized there were over 1500 items that might be considered a snack at WDW.

Now that would be a serious list to keep up with. :thumbsup2

::yes:: to all of it. I was thrilled a few weeks ago when some people reported being able to get frozen carbonated beverages on the DDP (and still am!).

If a funnel cake or some other yummy snack *is* $4.09, could you use a snack credit and pay the difference out of pocket???

I have a cynical thought. I am wondering how many of the snacks that are presently a bit under $4 will soon be increased to be a bit above? :confused3

It would probably be a good thing for my diet if it is so though. :cool1:

I was wondering that myself. Kinda like some of the items at Full Service have changed to addons. Will dining at Disney ever be the same? ;)

Hi WDW experts, I have two questions about snacks...

- I saw 'smoothies' on the list. Where can those be purchased? Can you pick what is in them or do they come in standard flavors?

- Where can you get Dole Whips? Is it (only) in Adventureland, like at Disneyland?

:thanks:

I can confirm that funnel cakes aren't eligible for snack credit. I specifically looked on Saturday.

Is there an actual A-Z list of what specific items are on the snack list? I'd love to be able to print out a list for reference.

Does anyone know if a larger carton of milk is considered a snack at the convienence stores?
thanks!

I don't think you're being cynical. I'm sure wholesale cost and ease of storage and preparation determine what items Disney wants to include as snacks. Guests want the simplicity of a dollar value. Disney can do both by just raising the price on snacks they don't want to include such as funnel cakes. Some snacks my just disappear altogether.

No, not from Disney but there is another thread of confirmed snacks. Once it grows larger & after more of us come back from our trips. We'll just combine all the feedback into one big list by park.

No, sorry. Members of this forum are trying to compile a list of experiences, both affirmative and negative, that guests report having (check the related thread on the Dining Plan forum page), but even that won't be an "actual A-Z list". Until Disney decides to expand on the short list that they've already provided, you'll need to rely on asking CMs at each venue what is and isn't included there.

I personally think that assigning a dollar value to a snack makes the most sense...anything $4.00 and under is a snack. No confusion there! Not even the CM's would have trouble with that.

Bumping back up, hoping someone can help.... :confused3

Hi! DD and I were at MK yesterday - at Sleepy Hollow the funnel cake was marked on the menu as being available on the DDP, but the strawberry sundae funnel cake was not.
The bucket of caramel corn was not marked as being available for the DDP.

:cool1: :cool1: That's what I was hoping since it is under $4.!!!!

Could you post this info HERE at the "confirmed' list of snacks thread??

thank you!!!!

Thanks so much for the info. :thumbsup2 I wonder why Coronado has not been updated, of course that is where we are staying. I guess we are going to have our snack fill at the parks. :goodvibes

On our last trip to Epcot I made it a point of going to the Funnel Cake house near the American Adventure and I asked them why they don't take the DDP and they replied it was because they are not part of Disney. Well, you can only imagine my surprise. The person behind the counter said they are an independent company which Disney brings in to supply funnel cakes. I found this extremely odd and wasn't sure I believed him, but given that no one can purchase funnel cakes at Epcot, but can at MK, this was probably the correct answer.
