Not a big fan of 90s music either! Born in 71...so that is out but I love 80s music. Loved Cure, Depeche Mode, Echo and the Bunnymen, U2, INXS, Erasure,....hate to admit that I also listened to some of the hair bands...Poison, Ratt, Motley Crue, of course Prince...and even Madonna...when she was actually cool unlike now!

There was good music in every decade. It's tough to say that the music of one decade was better than any other decade. Most people think the music they grew up with is the best. One thing that may have changed is the charts that represent the top ten. They are still based largely on sales of singles(that would be one disc with two songs on it). Single sales being representative of quality is a concept that was outmoded at least 30 years ago.

I don't know about that! My informative years lapped a decade..HS in late 80s, graduated 89...college in early 90s and I can surely say that the music of the 90s was pretty bad. It was the day of the grunge...Sound Garden, Pearl Jam, Nirvana and while those bands were good...for the most part the music of that decade, my decade, the Gen X decade sucked!
