with FQ opening will POR be closing some areas?

If I read the posts correct some are saying the POR will be
"renovating" now? does this mean I can expect construction to
be going on in JULY??

should I change my ressies? or wait until I hear an offical word?

You might want to call WDW and see if they know anything (I doubt they do though). I think the plan is to rehab the whole place so I am expecting if POFQ is all done, they will in fact, move on to Riverside. But this is just my opinion/guess.

I wouldn't change my ressies, you might get a good upgrade deal.

I stayed at POR in August and my room and the rest of the resort looked great to me though I have heard others complain...

They've been doing some renovations at DxL all along (sorry POR). We were there Sept a year ago and at least one of the mansions was closed, the main pool was down as well. We were told that they were closing and rehabbing buildings one at a time as possible. I doubt very seriously that they could close the resort as a whole like they did PO since the restaurant is there and the 5 person accomodations are there as well.
