Starting to plan our last summer mini-vaca. Checkin at the campground (cabin) isnt until 3pm. I believe its about a 2hr drive. Any ideas on how to spend the day before checkin? I asked about early checkin and was told no.
Lunch? Movies? Going up Rte 95 to bottom tip of Maine on a Sat. Thinking of Canobie when we return on Tues after 12pm checkout.

That's part of the reason I buy Ultimate Park Hoppers, so I can drop off my bags then immediately hit a park, but in the past we've done other things to occupy us until check in. We've went out to eat, gone to the flea market on Rt. 192 and roamed around Downtown Disney. Actually there are lots of things in the Orlando area to explore if you have a car. If not, you could resort hop, ride the monorail or go to a Disney restaurant that you've never been to and enjoy a nice, relaxing meal. :D

I normally do an early flight to WDW...I am on site before noon. If my room is ready I will take my stuff up...If not I leave my stuff at the hotel...take what I need for the Parks and off I go. I can not make any suggestions about a campsite...may be they will let you in early or just go out, relax and catch some lunch or something

Is there a circus or amusement park nearby? Maybe you could use the time punching the clown.
