We headed out by bus to MGM approx. 7:30 am. MY DD had her heart set on doing ToT, so we headed there first. DS, not big on rides declined , so I sat out with him. DD and DH walked right in..no wait. We hadn't tried using Fast Passes yet, so I went over and got 2, figuring she would want to do it again with me next time. I was surprised when she came out looking terrified! LOL, she was glad she did it, but had no inclination to do it again!! We have a cute pic to celebrate her accomplishment though, lol.
I can't remember the exact order of the things we did next, but I don't recall having to wait more than 5 or 10 minutes for anything. Muppet 3D was really cool!! We really enjoyed the Great Movie Ride and the Backlot Tour. We had an 11:00 PS at the Sci-Fi Diner and got seated just before the big crowds arrived. Although they did not have a huge selection of food, we loved our meal and the deserts were delicious. I was not expecting this place to be that great, but we really enjoyed our time there...it was very relaxing! I was glad we had a meal there. It was worth it. We checked out the gift shops and stocked up on pins. The rest of the family did Star Tours while I took a few moments of quiet time to myself. The rest room near Star Tours was nice and cold and peaceful, lol. I wandered over to the Star Tours gift shop to wait for them, and remembered that Uncle Kyle worked there. I couldn't remember if Sunday or Monday was his day off though. I didn't see anyone with a Kyle nametag.
It was getting pretty hot by now and of course DH thought that we should check out Animal Kingdom! Ugh..I hadn't even planned on visiting that park this trip, but I didn't have the nerve to say no, lol. I warned him that it might be extra hot there, but he wanted to at least stop by for a short while..so we did.
At first I thought, wow..this isn't so bad..it actually felt cooler than at MGM. That feeling didn't last long though, lol. We were there at about 2:30 or 3:00 I think, and we were able to walk right in to It's Tough To Be A Bug. My DS had sworn he would never see that show, before we even left home, since he has a problem with bugs, lol. But he was just kind of swept in, and he liked it!! Yeah!! It was very cute! I had bought a "It's Tough To Be A Bug" pin shortly thereafter, and sadly I lost it, and was never able to replace it before we left WDW..bummer.
Next we did the Kali River Rapid ride....not much of a wait at all. DH and DD got soaked to the bone...HAHA!! We wished that ride had been longer. We were refreshed for about 5 minutes after that, but then the kids and I were dying from the heat. DH was trying to egg us on to the BoneYard. No way. DD and I sat on the next available bench. DS tryed to make the journey, but turned back, much to DH's disappoinment, lol. This was my least favorite park. I prefer more open spaces, and the walkways were hilly, which did my poor legs and feet no good. I was glad we went though, ITTBAB and KRR were worth it.
We headed back to the Contemporary and our nice air conditioned room for some R&R. Later that night we took the monorail to MK to wander around. The lines for rides were really long. DD really wanted to do more rides there before we left for home, so DH promised he would do EE with her on Tuesday while I packed for our return home. We wanted to see The Hall of Presidents and were disappointed that it was closed that evening. We shopped some and visited Toon Town Fair. Boy was that crowded!! We got some cute pics though. We took a boat ride then stopped by Cosmic Ray's, grabbed some food, and watched the lounge act, lol. We ended our night there with a train ride.
DS was wiped out and only wanted to lounge in his bed in the room. DD and I dragged DH out to the Contemp. courtyard to watch the fireworks and the ELP before getting some shut eye.

I am really enjoying your reports - it sound like a fabulous family trip!

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks Krissalee!

As I re-read my trip reports, they almost sounded too good to be true, lol.
But honestly, this is the way things happened for us in WDW.
We really lucked out big time in many ways, I thought! I wanted to keep things at a relaxing pace. I know there is so much more we could have done...visited Downtown Disney, or the water parks, but the kids would have ended up miserable if we had pushed them...especially with the heat. My DH's job has him doing alot of walking in a hot building, so he could have handled much more than the rest of us. He could have ventured out on his own, but chose not too. We left wanting more...which is what I was hoping for. Another trip is in our future!!
