WISHING for FIRMer Fannies - Week 1 Check-in

Hi FIRMies! It's great to see how well everyone's doing!

HI cinmell! I second what Melanie says about adding some cardio work to your ab/body sculpt days. I'd start slowly at first alternating sculpting/cardio (including WATP for variety!) and then if you really, really feel like you have energy to burn, I'd try a little cardio on sculpting days (those cardio/step moves can be hard to get down, alright!). But listen to your body if it's telling you not to do anymore than you already are. The last thing you want to do is push yourself into overexertion--that'll lead to burnout, frustration, aches & pains or injury. I've been adding extra cardio to my regular workouts for about two weeks now, but I may suspend that for a while--for the last two days I feel like I've been doing too much--lots of soreness and muscle tension, which means my muscles are beaking down, not building up. Your body really will tell you what you when it's had enough--listening to it will insure that you're working within your fitness level. And that's the smartest, safest way to gain both cardiovascular and muscle strength (and you'll be looking JUST FAB too!). Keep up your GREAT WORK--you are AWESOME!

Hi sueg! It's sounds like your working hard, and being able to walk without any soreness after doing Standing Legs is sure proof of that! Good for you--you are really getting the job done! I just got Cardio Sculpt Blaster, but it was damaged when it arrived. So now I'm waiting for a replacement video to be sent. From the sound of it, I guess I'll be tripping over my feet for while until I master the steps--which is actually what I've done with all my FIRM videos! Keep up all your hard work sue--it's really paying off!

Hey Melanie! CAWT AND SUPER CARDIO SCULPT!!!:faint: Whoa--you are smokin'!!! Like I told sue, I'm waiting for a repalcement for SCS, and I'm really anxious to try it! Do you like Nancy as an instructor? I have Calorie Killer which she leads, and it's a tough little 30 minute workout which I really like, but I'm not to sure how I feel about her. I still love Allie the best--and Emily, too. She's as cute as a button. Oh dear, Melanie--I think I'm getting way too emotionally involved in my FIRM workouts.:scared: I bet you know what I mean, don't you?!

I did Maximum Cardio Burn + Abs this morning, and tomorrow is my rest day. Total Sculpt with Abs will be awaiting me on Monday. Oh, Evil Front Dips off the Fanny Lifter...you mock me now...but I will conquer you...

Have great weekend FIRMies, and Keep On Truckin'! :) :) :)

FIRMIES!
It was Allie this AM & it went well. I used to think of Cardio Sculpt as a difficult tape, but it seems like all my difficulties with Cardio Sculpt Blaster has helped me & I felt pretty good this morning.
When I was in Best Buy w/ DS(16) this afternoon, I saw DVD Super Cardio Mix for $20.99. I liked the idea of being able to select different segment and customize your workout for time & difficulty. I'd love to hear from anyone about Super Cardio Mix. My plan is to do another 40+ minute tape tomorrow, maybe Standing Legs or Tough Tape 2. SGG

Hi guys!

I did upper body Body Sculpt today. It was kind of tough. Boy, that one isn't easy at all! I feel good though and glad I am incorporating a rest day. Tomorrow is ab sculpt but I'll be tied up all day so I won't get to it until the evening. Tomorrow is also weigh in day so I'll let you guys know how that goes. :)

Have a good night and keep up the great work everyone!

Good morning FIRMies!
WOOHOO!!!I bought Cardio Sculpt Blaster yesterday and decided to give it a try today. I love it! It is a quick and fun routine! Mind you, I didn't use any weights and I just concentrated on the steps, mostly without the arms, but it was great! It reminds me of the good old days of Show Choir and Cheerleading. Feels more like dancin' and less like workin' out! WOOHOO!!!

We'll be going to the Zoo later with our kids so that will give me more cardio for the day. Have a great day everybody! :Pinkbounc :sunny: :wave2:

FIRMIES!
I had a good exercise weekend. I did Standing Legs on Sunday, 40+ minutes. A real challenging tape for me. I felt it all day long. Back to short tapes this AM, Ab Sculpt w/ Lisa Kay. Monday mornings are always so tough for me. After I posted my question about the Bulletin Board, I went to the FirmDirect site. I'm debating a 3 month membership, but I'm not sure that I'll need it, largely because of the support that I get from WISH & this thread. Do any of you guys belong? It seems that the cost of membership is somewhat offset by the discounts on tapes/DVDs.
Have a healthy & happy day! SGG

Good morning! I have one question regarding Ab Sculpting for WW followers. Do you count the AB Sculpting as activity points? If so, how many? I haven't counted it as AP but thinking I may count it as one. Do you think this is ok?

Good Monday morning FIRMies! Can you believe it's March already?!

WOW! It sounds like everyone is doing really well with their exercise! A BIG CONGRATS on working so hard to improve your health--I'm so proud of you all!

I did Total Sculpt + Abs this morning. I had been adding on an extra little cardio tape at the end of my workouts for the last two weeks, but I think I'm going to ease up on that for now. By the end of last week I felt really sore and achy, with my knees and lower back being especially tender. So I rested yesterday and felt so much better today. I keep telling everyone how important it is to allow your body it's recovery time, and I think it's time I start heeding my own advice.

Keep up all the wonderful work you're doing--the results that you'll see and feel are so worth it!

Have a GREAT DAY:sunny: FIRMies!

Good morning fellow FIRMies!

Just have a quick second to post and then off to do some errands - some "off" day from work :). Oh well.

This morning I did 40 minutes of the cardio sculpt work out. I also weighed in yesterday and lost 3.5 pounds for the week. I'm excited about that. I also noticed my thighs seemed slimmer when I was sitting on the fanny lifter during part of the work out. I know I should be measuring but I'm just too lazy.

I hope everyone has a great week and I'll check back later. :)

Good afternoon FIRMies.....

Saturday night my knees were really hurting me, I think I did way too much Saturday morning. I think it was Super Cardio Sculpt that created the pain. There were some jumpy steps in it, and from doing two tapes in a row I probably overworked my knee.
Yesterday afternoon I tried a little of Maximum Cario burn to see if I would feel any pain. I think between being tired because I ran around all day and not wanting to do too much, that I just couldn't keep up. It felt like Allie was on super warp speed and I was on slow motion. I gave it up and opted to give it some more rest since it was sore again. I didn't get up this morning and will probably just rest till tomorrow morning.

I got 3 new DVD's in the mail today. Calorie Killer , Upper Body Sculpt and FIRM Abs. I will probably do FIRM abs #1 tonight before bed since I didn't get any exercise today.

ZerasPride- Great job on the 3.5 pounds. I bet you are definately seeing loss in your thighs. I am definately seeing results in my hips. I should do well at WI tonight too. The scale really moved big time this week. Way to go, keep up the great work.

Kim- I hear you on watching what I add on. My knees have really been hurting, and I think its because I was trying to add on a new tape after doing a tough one anyway. I was really hoping to learn them and still get in a good workout, but I don't know if it's the best. Missed a workout yesterday and today because of it.

cinmell - I have only done Ab sculpt once, but it is pretty light on actual physical intensity. I usually only count the big workouts, but I don't think it would hurt to give yourself a little. I just looked at someone weighing 140 pounds for 30 minutes at light intensity would be 1 point. That sounds good??

sueg- I can't wait to try Standing Legs, I heard it is real tough. I just ordered it, so I can't wait. I do use the firmdirect website right now, I am on a 30 day free trial. I think I will continue my membership though because I have learned so much. I think I could find you the link to the free month if you want to try it. Just let me know and I can post it for you. I am going to be getting Super Cario Mix too, so I can't help you because I haven't done it yet.

toystoryduo- I agree that Cardio Sculpt Blaster is fun. I think Lisa Kay was great at queing and it actually helped me with some of my other tapes.

Great job everyone!!

FIRMIES!
I did Cardio Scuplt Blaster this morning. Not one of my best performances, but I overcame my desire to quit, mid-tape. It felt like my footwork was OFF the whole tape. I've not been sleeping well the past few nights. Not a great excuse, but maybe I need a day off tomorrow. I'll see how the sleep goes tonight.
MelanieC
I would appreciate the link for a free 30 day trial. I think that exactly what I need to decide if I should be a FIRM Club member.
Have a happy & healthy day! SGG

Last night I did the Cardo Scuplt from BSS2 - but I only got about halfway through before throwing in the towel. I started to feel shaky and unsteady - I think I need to eat a little something before working out.

Good morning FIRMies~
Boy, today was a tough one for me!:faint: I barely made it out of bed this morning..... and I was supposed to exercise? Well, I decided to try and find the new FIRM infomercial to see if I could get some motivation. After clicking through the channels for about a half hour, I decided to get up and just workout out. Now, I am glad I did. Once I got started, I was okay. I did Cardio Sculpt with Allie (BSS1) this morning and feel pretty good that I actually managed to do it. Another motivating factor was the new clippie I am aiming for because with my workout on Friday, I will have been FIRMing for two months! WOOHOO!:Pinkbounc

I hope everyone has a wonderful day!:sunny:
