Wishes wedding - low number of guests?

I want a wishes wedding because I don't want to be "stuck" with one of the pre-planned options.

I'm coming from the UK so we won't have many guests - not everyone will want to travel for miles and also OHs family is smaller than mine so we are trying to keep things balanced.

Our maximum guest count is 27 including us - the absolute "yes" is 14. Will this be a problem?

I'm looking for either an Epcot country or the MK train station for my wedding venue but no idea which place for a reception, any suggestions for a reception venue and also how to have a good reception with a small guest count?

Welcome!

The absolute minimum guest count for a Wishes event is 20, so if you're inviting 25, at least there's a chance you'll hit that number. Maybe invite a few more people just in case! :goodvibes

We also did Wishes with a low number of guests (34), and I loved having the flexibility to create an a la carte wedding while keeping the event intimate enough that we could spend time with each guest. Our ceremony was in Morocco, and then we took a Friendship boat to the BoardWalk for a reception at the Attic.

I *highly* recommend the Attic, but it won't work for a lot of people because it has a 36-guest maximum. It is perfect for a casual brunch with a small group. You could add entertainment like a solo musician or a caricature or silhouette artist, but we just made a playlist of samba for the iPod and spent time catching up with our friends and family. We also shortened the reception by an hour, had a nap/swim/play-in-the-parks break, and then did a dessert party at UK Lochside that evening.

If you go with the Magic Kingdom train station ceremony, it might be fun to put your guests on a water launch and take them to the Napa Room in California Grill at the Contemporary for the reception, or the Grand Floridian's Citricos or Narcoossee's. There's also the Whitehall Room at the GF Convention Center, which has a lovely patio under the monorail beam.

Well if you end up needing to boost the guest count, I looooooove crashing Disney weddings! :teeth:

Although ours was many years ago - we did a wedding with a lower than minimum guest count. We paid the minimum cost for what we wanted - it meant we bought 4 extra meals that I'm not sure who ate, and got to have an event that was exactly what we were looking for! I would not change a thing about it!

Haha I second Carrie! ;) But yes, I'd invite as many as you can - you may be shocked at how many do come!

As long as you pay for the minimum, I do not believe that Disney cares.
