Wishes Soundtrack

Does disney only sell the Wishes fireworks show soundtrack at the parks or is it possible to buy it somewhere else or online?

What a coincidence! I just received my copy of the Wishes soundtrack in tonight's mail and it's playing on my pc now! I ordered it from WDW Mail Order and it is $ 12.98, however shipping & handling was $10.95. Yikes! I also ordered the new Magic Kingdom DVD. I ordered mine through www.laughingplace.com mine had not been working in the car. DH, I guess, just cleaned it and suprised me by having it playing the other night when I got home from work. To me the Wishes CD is truly Disney. Every beat of the CD puts me in the MK.

I don't have it in front of me but it's about 20 minutes long. It is exactly what you hear at the show. Right down to the good night at the end from Jimminy Cricket.

Do NOT buy things from Laughingplace.com and Main Street Megastore!!!!

These places are run by people who go to WDW buy the cds at retail price and then mark them up even more.

You can buy the cds (and anything else sold on Disney property) from WDW mail order, by calling 407-363-6200 and ordering direct from Disney. They can find just about anything you have heard of or have seen in the parks.

And you'll be paying what you'd pay in the parks for it, plus a shipping charge (depends on how you have it shipped and how much you order).

Wishes cd is $12.98 and most of the other cds are 19.98

I am so glad I bought one this year. I can "see" the fireworks when I play it. I got Illuminations too - that one was $20 but soo good.

As far as the MK DVD, it's kind of like spending a day in the Magic Kingdom and seeing all the attractions/going on the rides. It's cool!

Also I bought mine when the parade still existed and they play all of the old pre-show music and parade and then the Illuminations show. It is a pretty long CD. I dont know if they redid it though with the new music, I hope not.

I do remember that parade from 2000 - the music sounded familiar. Unfortuneatly I haven't seen an Epcot parade since then.

While I agree with not purchasing from Main Street Megastore, because they do have a HUGE markup, I have not found that to be entirely true for Laughingplace.com. One of the posters above said they paid $ 12.98 for the CD, and $10.95 for S&H from WDW merchandising. That's a total of $23.93. I just checked on Laughingplace.com and the CD is $22.49 (yes, a $10 markup), but shipping is only $1.50, for a total of $23.99. The difference? 6 cents! So, it is a pretty decent option for people, and if nothing else, they can "browse" on Laughingplace since it has pictures of the merchandise.
