Hi everyone

I wonder if you can help?
We chose the Whitehall room due to the fact that you could watch the wishes fireworks from the patio and our planner had explained that this was the only room that can have the display music piped in.
After talking to her last night we have found out that is still the case but the cost is $700 for the speaker hire.

Just looking for some opinions, do you think it would be worth $700 or would it be just as nice without the music???:confused3

Wow that is a lot of money!

I'm in two minds, fireworks are always lovely, but it is your special day and the music does add to it.

Would you have to forefit something else to have the music?

We were told that as well but the thing is if wishes is cancelled then you dont get a refund of the money for the speakers etc!

We have uk lower booked and thought of changing it to either stay at the whitehall or the marina patio but she said the view is not the best and if tis bad weather and the show is cancelled then its kinda tough as they cant do anything about it.

I dont think illuminations get cancelled and they have a back up location in epcot if it rains

It is a lot of money...even more so if it does not go ahead so i think we may leave it.

Epcot would be nice but i don't really fancy moving us all with our wedding be a late one (5pm).
I have also found out we will need to pay for dance floor as not having DJ but using sound system and Ipod, any ideas how much this would be?:confused3

We are not having a dance floor just the ipod. so not sure how much it will be

We ahve a 2:30pm wedding and are moving from the whitehall room at around 8pm for illuminations

that sounds lovely, i can not remeber what made us decide to book later i think it may of been because of the heat, (the other half tends to moan when he is hot :rotfl2: ).
In some ways i wish we were doing something like yourself but we are holding a childrens party next door so i suppose that would cause problems!!!

Yes we dont ahve any kids apart from my sister who will be 12.

I liked the times cos it just flowed nicely and with no gaps, ok the heat will be a problem but the pavillion has air con and so does the whitehall room so by the time we move its dark and cooler so i'm not worried about that, I'm the one in the big poofy dress after all!! df can take his jacket off i cant take my dress off!

I'm waiting for my budget to come through so if i get any prices for ipods etc i'll post them for you

that would be wonderful that you so much for your help.
I don't think the heat will be a problem at all, you will have a lovely day and have plenty of time to enjoy it as well.

Are you not given your budget when you meet the planner then?

no we had our session 15 days ago and i emaield her yesterday as on the day she said 2-3 weeks and she told me it could be a a month. no prices are even discusses when we were there!

I'm hoping we get it next week so i can start seeing if we are on target with the budget

I chose the White Hall room because we are getting married at the WP. I thought there would be an easy flow and we wouldn't have to have transportation to move the guests around. We also want to see and preferably HEAR the fireworks! When we get married they will have Hallow Wishes for Halloween instead of regular Wishes. I know that there is a CD that has the music that is played so I debating between the CD and paying the $700 for Disney to pipe the music in. Orangetiggs, I didn't even consider the fact that if the fireworks were cancelled you would be losing the money for the speakers!

October bride, are you watching the fireworks from the White Hall Patio or the marina patio? Someone mentioned on another thread that the marina patio is not that private and you may want to pay to have something put up for privacy. I have a feeling that this may be going way over budget for me!
