just back from WDW where we managed to see wishes twice, including on our very last night there....what a truly magical way to end our WDW visit this year...

wishes is absolutely stunning.....and made all 4 of us cry BOTH times....(including my very tough 17 year old son, who also hates fireworks)..

it is a must see.....this is where disney outshines the competition...in fact, this is what puts disney in a completely different league.....so do NOT miss this under any circumstances....

I agree that Disney knows how to do fireworks. Wishes is great but Illuminations is still my favorite. I have the soundtracks for both so I can imagine being there.

I am soooo over fireworks displays<yawn> but pyrotechnics at WDW are another matter entirely. If you are at WDW, do take the time to check out Wishes and Illuminations.:earsboy:

Wishes hadn't came out when we were there last (August '03), but I have seen the video on the boards. I does look pretty good...:D

Wishes is amazing! We say Fantasy in the Sky in 2002 and were somewhat disappointed - Wishes does not disappoint!

Okay, I'll have to give Wishes a second chance. I am so not a fireworks person, and although I thought Wishes was nice, the creepy singing kid made us laugh, not cry.

But now I'm thinking I missed something. I'm sure I'll see it in December, because I'm going with my Mom and she'll insist on it. Hopefully, I'll see what you are talking about, and become a Wishes convert!

I couldn't agree more. We loved it. In January we did the fireworks cruise through the Magical Gatherings and got see Wishes from Seven Seas Lagoon. It was incredible seeing it both from the water and in the middle of Main Street.

WISHES is indeed a fireworks show like no other!! I planned my birthday specifically to be able to end the day watching it!

I couldn't believe the people who exited the park after the parade knowing they were missing the greatest fireworks display I've ever seen! I also talked to a man who was at the World for a full week and never once watched WISHES because he "has seen fireworks before"!

Joyciemc -- perhaps you should change locations when you view it again...
both times we saw it from that big circle area at the end of main street, just in front of the castle (the circle that leads to all the different lands....we were right on the bridge area to the left of center.....i thought it was too close actually, but maybe not, since we enjoyed it so much....
the second time we saw it, we were going to try to get the balcony of the train station, but it took us 50 minutes to get from the wilderness lodge over to the magic kingdom...so of course by the time we got into the park it was way too late for that location..
so we went back to where we'd seen it the first time...and again it didn't disappoint.....

and i love those little voices singing wish upon a star.......in fact when we heard it later sung by some bigtime singer, my son said he much prefered the kids singing it....

anyway....wishes is done beautifully...
as for illuminations....we didn't see it this year, but i assume it hasn't changed.....we don't particularly like it......which is why we were skeptical about seeing wishes.....i am so glad we made the effort....
and ending our trip with it was a wonderful way to end a perfect vacation...
