What are the castle light show and Wishes like from the Sleepy Hollow viewing area? Thanks!

It is actually a great spot for Wishes, but for the light show your view is going to be more of the side of the castle so if you are worried about that then I would move over a little for a better view. We sat at Sleepy Hollow during the Frozen Wish at MVMCP and it was nice being able to sit and watch. We didn't get the full front view of the characters but just seeing the castle light up was good enough for us. The hub was just too crazy to get a spot.

Thanks! That's good to know. How early did you have to get there to grab a seat?

At the risk of sounding stupid (many visits to WDW)……where is sleepy hollow? I saw someone post about it earlier relating to food and I have no idea where it is.

It's around the corner from Columbia Harbor House. In Liberty Square. I'm going for the spicy chicken waffle sandwich!

I just looked it up….we always call it the "funnel cake place"! Now I have an actual name for it. And those waffle sandwiches look wonderful!!!!

We tried to sit by Sleepy Hollow once to watch Wishes and the cast member in the area told us we would be unable to see the fireworks from there. He said that the trees and general angle of the area would block most of the fireworks. He gave us directions to "better" spots, so we moved and watched from Liberty Square instead. We did watch the projection show there though, and it's a pretty good view for that!

It is actually a great spot for Wishes...

Are you sure you mean "Wishes..." the MK fireworks show?

I'd rate Sleepy Hollow for Wishes viewing as a 1-2 out of 10.
The grand and glorious "main" fireworks would be blocked from your view by, well, everything in that area.

I've never watched Wishes from anywhere but smack in the middle of Main St. But from the map, it looks like views from the little table outside Sleepy Hollow are looking directly at the castle, albeit from the side. No? Are there trees blocking the sky that I'm not seeing on the map? This is the first year we're not using a stroller so I'm plotting as many ways as possible to get my kids to sit down and take what will be a much-needed break!

1. Which map?
2. Yes, but from the wrong angle.
3. Trees, buildings, roofs.
4. Which map?
5. Not many places to sit to see Wishes from the front angle.
There's the Wishes dessert party.
The tables in front of Casey's and the Plaza are nice, but they will usually be all taken pretty early.
Sleepy Hollow would be one of the least-favorable places.

You can go behind the castle and likely find a place.
You can go over into Liberty Square and sit on the wall in front of the Steamboat dock.
Plus other places in Frontierland.
Just know that in all of these non-Hub/Main St. locations, the fireworks will be in two different
parts of the sky.

Yes I watched Wishes from there. I have watched Wishes from further in the park like Tomorrowland and Fantasyland and even those were good spots. Sleepy Hollow isn't too bad for fireworks, you are just off to the side.

I do not remember any tree blocking our view at all from there. We were sitting at the table right on the edge. This was in November.

Can we watch wishes from the bridge to tomorrow land?

How soon are the tables by the plaza and caseys taken? Do we need to be eating to keep the tables?

These trees.

And, THIS is why I wanted to know what map you where using.

The "cartoony" maps from Disney (detail below) while cute and warm and fuzzy,
don't often depict all of what is actually THERE.

We accidental ended up near those trees one night and ended up sprinting away from the castle mid show to try to see some of it (we temporarily lost one of our group, thankfully it was an adult). It wasn't a huge deal that we didn't see it since we had 2 more nights in MK on our trip but definitely not the perfect spot for us (there were lots of others there so we decided to join the crowd, guess not such a great idea). Our last night we actually sat on a bench right in the hub which worked out great.

Just watching from the Liberty Square/Frontierland "border" (for lack of a better word) is actually an OK viewing area. We watched from there one night purely by accident and I really enjoyed it. This probably won't make much sense, but watching from a different than intended angle (i.e., looking at the castle on Main Street) really shows you how big the fireworks really are. I really appreciated the panoramic view we got from Frontierland.

Agreed.

We also like to watch from the wooden bridge between Frontierland "street" and Big Thunder Mtn. (The Wooden Bridge is labeled in purple on the parade route map below.)

The angle is quite different, but it's nice.
The audio is great back there and you can even see a bit of Tinker Bell as she flies from the castle.

Just keep in mind that you won't be able to see the spectacular and very popular castle projection show, "Celebrate the Magic" (starts 15 min. before Wishes) from any of these "outside areas."
