What will the crowd be like if we watch Wishes from the beach, and then head to the Pop? Would be be fighting a large crowd? We may stay for the Water Pageant Parade. Should I ride the Monorail to MK and take a bus back to Pop?

I dont know when you will be there, but we were there in January and the night we saw wishes from the "beach" (we were in the concierge lounge) I don't think there were many people oustide watching. Maybe a few scattered families, but that was about all. I would think it won't be that crowded. Do you know where you would catch the bus at MK? If it's at the TTC , you can just walk there from the Poly. Have fun!

I'm wondering the same thing.

Would it be smarter to take a bus from the Poly to Downtown Disney and then take a bus from there back to Pop? Seems like that might be the best way to avoid the crowds?

What about taking the monorail to Epcot, and then catching a bus to Pop from there? Or would there be any buses still running from Epcot on the nights when Epcot closes at 9:00 p.m. and Wishes isn't until 10:00 p.m.

When we go Illuminations and Wishes are both at 9:00, so I am wondering if DTD would be a good option?

If you are refering to this summer, there really isnt a good place to head. If you go to the MK, youll get caught in the post fireworks rush, if you go to Epcot youll have the same issue.
Your best choice would be to catch a bus to DTD and transfer there, especially if you are staying fo rthe water pagent. If the Hollywood Studios are open, then go there to transfer since it is accross the street, and you may be able to get the driver to do a quick drop for you.

Also, there really isnt that big of a crowd at the beach and theres plenty of beach to watch the show from. Also, you can go to the TTC which is next door, and see the show from the ferry pier.

If you don't mind spending the money for one you can always take a taxi from the Polynesian to Pop Centurty and it will be the fastest route back there no matter what form of WDW transportation you might take.

Although there will be alot of people at the MK bus stop, the buses will be coming and you will make it out of there MUCH faster than if you go to the Poly bus stop, take the DTD bus that will also stop at the GF and then get off there and wait for th POP bus.

I just don't think that is a good idea at all.

I find the DTD buses to be every bit as crowded as any other bus and often much more time consuming than just waiting for the direct bus that you need.

The more I thought about this I would just get on the bus from the Magic Kingdom, because it's the closest location from the Polynesian to get on the Disney Transport buses and once it's closed the buses will arrive a lot faster.

Take the monorail, or small boat, over to the MK from the Polynesian. Then, take the bus back to POP. It will be much faster than heading to DTD. I avoid making transfers at DTD at any cost...way too much time.
Yes, there will be a lot of people at MK who are heading out, but just take your time and you may find yourself behind the crowds.

OK, this sounds good, thanks.

But what about the monorail to Epcot? During the first week of August, Epcot closes at 9:00 pm, but Wishes at MK isn't until 10:00 pm. So after viewing Wishes from Poly beach, couldn't we take the monorail to Epcot and then get bus back to Pop? Wouldn't the Epcot crowd be mostly gone by then? Or is there a danger that there wouldn't be any more buses running from Epcot by the time we get there?

You could do that - its a nice ride - there would still be buses running but if the park is close to empty the buses won't be coming as frequently as the ones will be at MK.

Great, thanks for the info!

I would agree with that.
By the time you walked over to the TTC and got on the Epcot line, you could have made it to MK and gotten into the bus line there. THen, it's about 10-15 mins to Epcot, off the monorail and then to the very furthest bus stop for POP at the bus area. Then, add in the time you spend waiting for the bus...it could be a total of about an hour. I would still head to MK and take my time about it...thereby missing the big part of the crowds. In fact, you could just have an ice cream at the Polynesian, have a stroll aroud the resort, then hop on the monorail to MK and get to the bus lines about 10:30ish....they should be much less by then.
