Wishes Fireworks Cruise

Hi Everyone,

I just found your board and am hopeful that some of you could help me out since I can not find this info elsewhere.

For those of you who have booked a fireworks cruise was it worth the money? Where do you get the boat? Where are you parked to watch the fireworks, are you in Magic Kingdom somewhere or are you out on the lake between the resorts and Magic Kingdom? Is the view the same as in the park or better? Any info you would love to share would be greatly appreciated. Also, I think I saw some information somewhere that the price was by the hour for the pontoon boats. Is that correct or was it one set price? Thank you so much!!!!

The Wishes cruise is on the lake, not the MK. Some people thought it was worth it and others didn't. I prefer the Illuminations Cruise. They use to give you a couple options on where to be picked up (local resorts). I prefer to be near Main Street/Castle during Wishes....you can see Tink fly and its almost as if the fireworks are exploding right over your head. Being out in the lake is too far away.

Welcome Stampin_fool to the boards. We did the Wishes Cruise last year and it was wonderful. We were going the same time as a family that my DS's go to school with. Well during that time it was the daughters 8th bday. I told her about this cruise and we went in on together. We told them about the birthday and for extra money they decorated the boat in balloons and a banner. There was cake (best I ever had), water, soft drinks. I think for the whole package it was about $200. It was well worth it.

We were asked where to be picked up and chose the Contemporary Resort. Our captain was great. Had a lot of funny,corny jokes. We got to see the Electric Water Parade and then made our way back behind the castle. That is where we saw the fireworks and had the cake. After the fireworks we made our way back to the Contemporary Resort. I believe the whole thing lasted about 2 hours.

We have not done the Illuminations cruise so I cannot compare, but we thoroughly enjoyed the Wishes and will be doing it again. Again well worth the money!!!
