Is it worth it? We are going at the end of Sept during low attendance. Group of 7 3 of which are kids (7,5,&2). I heard that there isn't always a great view and that if you do the party you also want to do wishes another night somewhere else in the park to make up for the view.. so can you tell me the good, bad, and the ugly of wishes dessert party? TIA

We did this for the first time just this past June. There were basically 4 adults, DH and myself and our two kids, 14 and 17. We enjoyed it very much and thought the view was just fine. Although you can't really see the pictures on the castle for the Memories Show, but that wasn't an issue for us. Have no complaints about seeing the castle show or the fireworks.

It does seem to get mixed reviews so I guess like everthing else it is simply a matter of preference and opinion. I would say that everyone should try it at least once. We would do it again, but wouldn't necessarily do it the next time we went. We would probably be in the camp that would do it now and again when we felt like trying it again.

As far as the desserts, some were tasty and others were just good. Nothing was to "die for". There have been some reports of desserts not being re-filled quickly enough or the people there first "hoarding" the desserts. I found our servers to be fairly quick about replenshing and when a buffet cart was empty it didn't take long to bring out more goodies. We did have an issue with the drink station and running out of milk which really seem to irrate some. It was a minor blip and overall didn't really make much of a difference. It seems some little "issue" like this arises at many of the dessert parties.

We arrived about 20 minutes before the opening of the party. Mostly because it was raining and we were seeking shelter. We were about 7th in line. Being among the first in did make a difference as we were able to get to the buffet first. Not so much for the ability to "get" the desserts but to do so without throngs of people crowding around.

Overall I would give it an 8 out of 10. Not sure if everyone has had the same positive experience, but it is worth a try I think.
