Wishes dessert Party or View from California Grill Balcony?

Hello! We are going to the world for the first time in December and I currently have a reservation for the Wishes dessert party and on a different night, California Grill. I think doing both would be overkill....but maybe not?

My conundrum is that we will have a CRT reservation at 5:15 on the night of the dessert party so I am afraid we will be stuffed when the dessert party starts at 7. I have not been able to get any other CRT reservation during our stay so am not really sure which route to go. Anyone have advice on pros/cons of the view/cost/food?

Sorry, also not sure if I am putting this thread in the right forum. Thanks!

We love to watch wishes from the table at CG but not the balcony in December. It IS AMAZING but I get too cold and It's been windy when I was out there. I would save it for summer and make a ressie during fireworks. Dessert party is fun but I don't want to do it this trip, not sure why :)

It's not that cold! (Says he from the UK!)

If you wrapped up, you'd be fine on the Balcony

Not freezing every night true but the sharp wind and if it happens to be cold blowing your hair in your face is distracting to me verses watching over a beautiful dessert and coffee in a warm room with the music piped in. Just saying... You can hunker down with mittens, wrap, and your family in the park too we do that sometimes. I was just pointing out another type of experience. You're right though it is very doable and popular.

Unlike many on this board, I don't like to watch Wishes from the CG - the fireworks are too far away and waaaaay off centre. Plus I'm distracted by the smoke. The dessert party is off to the side but you see the detail and we prefer to be more immersed. Plus you get to see most of the castle projection show, and of course, there is Tink!

Thank you!!
