I was just wondering if there are any no sugar added options at the Wishes Dessert Party for Diabetics? TIA

There were maybe two things when I went in May, plus the fruit. I did not eat them. For me (a Type 1 diabetic pump user), though, it often isn't worth going for the sugar-free desserts that may have just a couple fewer carbs per serving than the sugar-full desserts, and do not taste as good.

This is all between you and your medical team, of course.

You can email special diets and ask them to have sugar free options available for you. I can't have dairy and they will have some options for me. Not as many as the entire buffet, but a few.

Yes I was doing sugar-free foods until I was told about the carbs being higher in them. In fact I have stopped using anything containing aspartame if I crave soda I will have maybe 3-4oz as a treat.

I did not know about special diets, I think if I decide to purchase the tix for the Dessert Party that is exactly what I will do. I thought DH would really enjoy himself and I would enjoy being able to sit during Wishes

I asked for an alternative when I went the last time to the Dessert party. They brought out a lovely plate with sorbet and fruit, cheesecake. I really enjoyed it!

We did it in Dec and DH is diabetic. He was offered a sugar free brownie and cheese cake and sorbet. He also was able to enjoy the fruit they had as well. We really enjoyed it. The manager was super nice and helpful!
