Well the dates are back again and again not open for reservations....

I wonder if they are trying to see how many of us will actually get up at 7AM on Mother's Day just to call - in case it's finally open for August. Oh well, I'll have to help them reach their gullible victims "goal" for tomorrow also.

I just reserved online for Sunday, 7/31...just in case they don't open August. Our time is 9:10 pm but the fireworks start at 9:00. Can we arrive much earlier?!

I nearly panicked when I saw octobers dates up and it said there no available times....

So glad I found this thread! The calendar online has some November dates listed, but nothing open. I called Disney dining and they said "yes, we book the wishes dessert party at 180 days out, just like all dining reservations.". After quite some time on hold, she said "that's peculiar, it's not updated yet. ". She recommended I call back later this week, but it sounds like she was a bit misinformed......guess I'll be waiting how ever long it takes for them to formally release November's party nights. Fingers crossed it won't be tooooooo long!

Question: does anyone know if there are any desserts that would be appropriate for a diabetic? My dad has diabetes but we really want to do this. I would hate for him not to have anything to eat!

i would say w/a little notice, the answer would be YES! be sure to mark it on your reservation and maybe follow up w/an email to special diets...

my son has peanut/tree nut allergies and 99% of all Disney desserts are off-limits... however! the dessert party made him the most amazing platter of safe desserts i've ever seen... and when he licked the platter clean (w/the help of some friends 'cause they were totally jealous! his were better than the buffet! LOL!) they brought him another platter!! it was magical! LOL! (think of a 12yo w/out dessert for a week while everyone else is enjoying finally getting the mother lode of desserts!) and then, they packaged up a few items that would travel to keep on hand for the next day (or two!)!

this happened not once, but twice when we visited in '09 and '10...

The other question about restrictions got me thinking... for those of you that have been before how much of the buffet is chocolate? My mom will be coming with us next trip when we want to go but she can't have more then a very small amount of chocolate (due to the caffine) white chocolate is ok but not anything that has actual cocoa in it.

Will there be enough to eat for her that I don't need to make a special request?

If you note it on your reservation they will bring your dad a plate with sugar free items like brownies, cheesecake, sorbet and fruit.

I would make a special request when making the reservation just because sometimes the addition of cocoa/caffeine is not always evident in a recipe. Someone will go with you or your mom around the buffet tables to show you all the desserts that do not contain cocoa/caffeine - it takes less than a minute and then you know for sure.

Nope August is not bookable so far.... Sometimes the dates are blue and clickable. sometimes they are grey, but nobody was able to book any August date so far...
