Thank you to whomever posted to put in the date in number form. I have been trying to get this for mine and my husbands anniversary in August and never show August opening. When I typed in the numbers it came right up and we are booked...Will be a wonderful way to almost finish our anniversary. EMH at MK that night too will make it even more magical...

We will be in the World in September and am hoping to get a reservation for the Wishes Dessert Party. At the moment, they only have ADR's open til the end of July. Does anyone know if they will be continuing the dessert party past July?

Thanks for the heads up. I just called them and they are only taking reservations thru 8/31. I'll have to keep checking back for September.

I have been trying online every single day since February to make a reservation for 8/28 for the Dessert Party and August has never opened up. I saw other people saying they had ADRs for August so I called. The representative on the phone was trying very hard, but could not book for us even though she only showed 6 names being booked

Any advice or suggestions??? We really wanted to do this for our last night/husband's birthday...

Why is it not available online? Why is it closed to my representative even though others have booked??

It is available on-line. You have to manually put in your date and then it should allow you to book it. For example, if you wanted August 28, you would have to type in 08/28/2011. It would not work if you are selecting the date by clicking on the calendar.

This is exactly what I was going to advise. I was able to book mine for August 26th this way. Type the date with the zeros and hopefully it will work for you.

I found this posted on another Disney forum site this morning. I don't know if it's true, but if it is... maybe that is the reason for delaying the release of Wishes Dessert Party dates because it wouldn't be called Wishes Dessert party anymore?

Hey there guys and gals Anonymouse here!

Okay, you know how I love gossip and will usually just throw something out with little more than a caveat that it’s just a rumor? Well today I want to tell you about something that’s bound to bring a tear to the eyes of even the most cold-hearted among you (and you know who you are). It might even make you angry. It’s the rumor that Wishes will be ending within a month or so.

I know, I know! Now don’t get all upset. I actually doesn’t like fireworks (they wear on my delicate nerves) but I know how everyone else pretty much just LOVES Wishes and thinks it’s the be all end all, and so I feel bad spreading this vile rumor even though I am most often found on Splash Mountain, or eating (duh) or even in the bathrooom (possibly hiding) during Wishes. Anonymouse has empathy, and I’m feeling it for you, lovers of Wishes.

Anyway, here’s what I’ve heard. That a big load of fireworks were ordered and that cast members are telling people that Wishes is going to be replaced by another show.

That’s it. Sorry it wasn’t more juicy but I felt compelled to report on it since it’s all over the place.

I’ll keep you posted if we hear something concrete.

I tried keying in the date and got the same message. When I called last night they said they were only taking reservations through Aug 31. I called this morning and they said September is open but the night I want is sold out. I don't believe that. Guess I will have to keep trying.

Interesting. I have never seen Wishes since last time I made it to MK for the fireworks it was something else......back in 1998, did not go my last two trips, so I will be a lil sad if it changes.

I suppose that could be a reason for the delay in making bookings for the Dessert Party available but since I have started watching the release dates it seems to be a month or more between when they open the booking window.

July was 4/21 and August was 5/28. Going by that I expect September will be somewhere near or after 7/2 and October that I am waiting for not until 8/6 or later.

No problem. Here again though, I have no idea if this is true. Many people read this on the other forum and commented that Wishes is going no where. So who really knows. I personally have no information to back it up or dispute it!

I sorta expected something new to be unveiled with the Oct 1st 40th Aniversary of MK Opening. But it seems there is little buzz of anything happening to Mark the date. I had originally made my reservations to be there for October 1st then changed to later in the month as nothing was announced. Kinda sad I think. But who knows maybe something is in the works in the form of New Fireworks display to tie in with the Memories Promo
