On the very first post of this thread you can see the dates when each month was open for booking. Traditionally, it's been 60 days out (either the last week of the month 60 days prior, or the first week of the month after if that makes any sense ) For example, I'm waiting for November. It will either be released this last week in August or the first week in September (traditionally on Tuesdays, but that's not a rule.) The whole month opens at once.


You should definitely try it out! We've been to it 3 times and it's so fun! Especially if you're going during a busy time of year. Avoiding the crowds and not having to scope out a spot on a curb for 45 minutes is worth every penny

Thank you! That's the bulk of why I'm thinking it might be good to try. I really hate dealing with the crowds. Plus, I really need another excuse to be stalking the dining site.

I am also waiting on November, I called a while back about it and the CM told me that they ususally are able to book it a few days before they release the dates for online booking. Anyone find that true? If so, that will officially make me I have been checking online every day!

Never heard that before, usually the CMs do not have a clue that it is open for booking.

I just called and was told that they will open up the same time (online vs calling). She also stated to try to start checking mon. Sept 3rd.

Sept 3rd..............Oh now that sounds promising. Who knows if it will really open up that day but it gives us something to look forward to. All this waiting and stalking is so stressful. It is the last thing I need to do to complete this Disney trip and I want it to be here already.

I wonder if they will really open up reservations on Labor Day? It seems like in the past they open the day before or after a holiday, but not the day of.

Regardless, I will be obsessively checking everyday anyhow!

I had a laugh today because I was talking to a CM about my resort reservation and she asked me if I had any idea when they were going to open the dessert party for when I'm going lol it made me smile because when I said there's no rhyme or reason it seems she said that's what they'd heard too...

I can't wait to get this booked, we are there for 11 nights and I have a priority night picked out but if it is booked there are 2 others I could do. I'm just ready to get this booked and be done with all of the planning.

I'm in the same situation as you. Just want it done and settled some can start enjoying the anticipation lol

SO, now my question is ... how far out to people usually cancel? lol If one is traveling in mid-October, when would the final payment be due on their package? 30 days? I bet that week is another good time to start looking for a reservation!

Generally a package has to fully paid by the 45 day mark. But i'd check daily for cancellations. What day(s) are you looking at going to the DP? How many are in your party?

I'd like to do either 10/19 (first choice), or 10/17. There's 3 of us ... 2 adults, and 1 child (age 5).

I definitely do plan to check daily. I had a phone CM tell me that before 7:30 am and after 8:30 pm eastern are the best times to check. Has anyone else heard this before?

Although, by waiting at night there were many other people that had an opportunity to make a reservation throughout the day. So the changes of obtaining a hard to get reservation would decrease.

I would think the best way to get a reservation would be to stalk the site.
