Some have mentioned that the earlier the time, the better the table that you'll be seated at (i'm guessing speculation on that, but that's what i've heard)...however, you can have a 9:20pm reservation time and still get in at 9:00pm, or whenever they open up the gate. You can find more information on this if you follow the first thread in my signature. :thumbsup2

Table assignments are based on when you call to reserve, not when you arrive. And it doesn't matter what time you book for, relative to your table assignment. Your table is preassigned and will be held for you until you arrive. It has a placard with your party name on it.

This morning, I called to get a Be Our Guest reservation for my best friend who is going in December. When I finally got through (after hours of busy signals- NUTS!) I asked the CM if they had opened up the DP for November. She said "No, not yet". I asked her if she had any inside scoop as to when it may open (I knew from previous bookings, she wouldn't give me an exact date, but hey, why not try?!) and she said at the 90 day mark. UMMM....we are past the 90 day mark, and it tends to be more around the 60 day mark that it opens. I find it so frustrating that Disney makes it so difficult to get these reservations, and they don't even seem to properly train the CM regarding the DP.

Oh well, I guess that just makes it more likely for those of us that check obsessively to get the reservations, right :)

Got my BoG ressie this morning. Got my MVMCP ticket. This is the LAST PIECE of the vacation puzzle!

Agreed! I feel sorry for the CMs really because they must KNOW we get "mad" at them for having no clue and making stuff up, but Disney sure could help them out by getting this info to them! WHY should they be the middle man who gets the brunt of the garbage because management can't get their act together? Some people have JOBS to go to vs call all day every day or who cannot check constantly online where they work because those devils block all things DISNEY from web browsing!!!!

Me, too! Wasn't going to do it. I came home at lunch and decided I'd give it a try. Called DVC and in about 5 maybe 10 minutes had an ADR for BOG on Christmas Day! I was just going to let the hype die down and try it out for our trip in May...or October next year haha.

Subscribing! Where on the Disney site can you make reservations for the WDP?

All these years I've been going to Disney and didn't know of the dessert party. Of course, I'll be 5 1/2 months pregnant when I go in October and they have no opening when I'll be there. I thought maybe since it was just me I'd be able to get in, but no:(

Had to cancel my October 1st ressie since DGF couldn't get that day off work and we have to return home that morning :(

Subbing in hopes of snagging 12/8 after our anniversary dinner!

There seem to be less spots for solos or at least shorter duration of them being available. I got my october reservation when they got out, and after that played around a bit. For one already couldn't get most dates anymore, where 2, 3 or 4 were available.

Same thing for the number 3. Seems to be longer available then 2, when you consider how many times that comment has come up for those who mised the 2 people ressie. Whether that is because there is lower demand for 3 than 2 or there are more spots for 3 to begin with, who knows?

Keep checking though, it only takes one cancellation........

Since booking this last minute trip, we had not been able to get an ADR for the dessert party. I keep checking for 9/26-10/1...here's to a little bit of pixie dust!

What's anyones guess when November may open? How long has it been since Oct opened? Like 2-3 weeks?? I've been super stressed about some other family stuff, and keep forgetting to check the boards. I'm terrified I'm gonna miss the announcement! I've only been checking once daily in the early evening... :upsidedow

Our reservations are at 8:20.....will that be a pretty decent table? There are 6 of us so probably not a lot of places to put larger families?

We've been to the party 4 times and the tables were not assigned by the reservation time. It appears that they are assigned in the order that the reservations were made. Of course I'm sure that the size of the party is taken into consideration.

Sometime in Oct there is a party of 21 going .... maybe on the 22nd but I'm not sure of the exact date. The reservation for this party was made very soon after October dates were opened up. It would be interesting to know where Disney places such a large party.

I been checking 3 or more times a day since Monday when I booked BOG since changeing my MK day is no longer an option now and I an so scared I might miss it

Right...I guess I should have said that we made reservations soon after they were released and 8:20 was the earliest they had available for a party of 6 (we put in ANYTIME as our booking time option).

I was hoping it was made early enough that we will get a decent table :)

The party of 21 is going 10/6 and we will let you know how we were seated. I ell try to update that night if possible.
