You can book @ 180 Days, arrival date of 4/13 was available as of yesterday so it depends on your arrival day in April

I can't wait we actually leave June 28-July 5 so I believe my 180 is on Dec 30?!

Yay!!!!!! We were originally going to go over the fourth but changed it so we could go during the deluxe value season and save a little money! The fourth is so fun! You'll have a great time!!

So, I'm trying to remember the sequence of events during MVMCP nights. I really don't want to miss the castle projection show. Is there enough time to watch it before heading to the terrace for the DP?

Thanks!!!

We're going on an MVMCP night too and I was hoping to see the projection show from the party. Is that not possible?

Here's an updated list of who will be attending the Dessert Party. Click Here

Edit to add: Is there 1 dessert party for 2 sets of fireworks on December 30 and 31? Or, are there 2 dessert parties? I didn't post much there due to confusion on my part.

You can see the projection show from the Dessert Party. If they show pictures of guests, they may be a little hard to see, but overall, i personally think it's a good view :thumbsup2

Thinking about canceling our Wishes Dessert Party reservation for Thanksgiving night at 9pm for 4, anyone interested in coordinating PM me. As much as I want to go I just think it would be a bit much since we have free dining that includes dessert at each meal and we are getting a birthday cake at CRT with the Her Royal Highness Package for DD birthday. Think I will save the party for a trip when we aren't on the dining plan.

I have two reservations for the dessert party in early December, and I'm trying to decide which one to keep. One is for a MVMCP night, and the other is at 8:20pm on a night where we have a dinner ADR at CRT for 6:55pm. I don't think either night is ideal, but we really want to do one of them, and that's all we could get.

I'm afraid we'd be too rushed/full to enjoy the dessert party after our CRT dinner. Plus, we could use the time during Wishes to go do rides with lower crowds hopefully.

But at MVMCP, I was hoping to catch the first parade (we have little kids), and I'm not so sure that'll work out. Could we potentially watch the parade from the hub, on the Tomorrowland side, then go into the dessert party? The dessert party starts at 8:50pm. Do you have to get there early? Are the tables reserved, or is it every group for themselves?

Which do you all think would be better? I'm leaning towards the MVMCP night, but I'm driving myself crazy about this!

i also have 2. One on a mvmcp and one regular night. I don't know what to do. I hope someone can offer you some advice. My issue with mvmcp is I would like to take full advantAge of all the new stuff there is to do....parades and shows. I would also like to ride some rides while lines are down. I am not sure I want to take up 2 hours of time for a dessert party.

Well, a few things come to mind......are you one of those doing the Dessert Party for the view....or the desserts? I have read several people say that they buy it for the view and seating....and the desserts are a perk. And others see it the opposite....going for the desserts and being able to sit and watch the shows is a perk.

If you're in the seating/viewing preference then I'd do the CRT night....because the extra desserts will thrill your dd (what kid wouldn't be happy with 2 dessert events in the same day....and mom can justify it that dd will probably not each more the 2nd time around, lol).

I personally would never do the dessert party on a MVMCP night......paying extra for the MVMCP ticket and then on top of it paying for the dessert party is just too expensive for this cheapskate's heart. I also would not want to "waste" an hour or two sitting at the dessert party when I'm paying the MVMCP tickets to do the meet and greets, shows, etc that aren't available on a regular day. But then.....a lot of people pay for the MVMCP simply to have shorter lines for the rides. The rides are something my family does in between meet and greets and shows, more an after thought than a main concept.

So....it really depends on YOUR family's reasons for doing the MVMCP.

In your case, I personally would cancel both dessert parties and plan for it on the next trip. Now that the booking is at 180 days it might be easier to do?

Another alternative...if there is another MVMCP night in your trip, call and ask if you can trade in your tickets for another night. I know the "rules" say you can't....but I also know that I have done it two different years....the first because my daughter had a fever the day before and I knew even if she was feeling better a long, late, cold night wasn't the smartest thing to do....and the other year was simply because we found out some friends were going to a different night. Now, the sick kid night I could see why they'd be more inclined to help me....but the change so we can go with friends....they didn't even blink when I asked.

I'd suggest trying to change CRT to another night, but that ones a bit harder to do....but it wouldn't hurt trying to see if you can get lucky and snag a different day.

Ok, I'm sure you'll get other opinions directly opposite mine, but hey, that's the great thing....we all have our own preferences for touring. You just have to read all the different ways folks think through their plans and decide which sounds most logical for your family!

I mentioned this question to my husband and said I personally couldn't understand why someone would pay $25 for a chair only to sit and watch the parade from a far distance and the fireworks with a slight angle. He had two things to say "I wouldn't pay $25 just for a buffet of desserts" and "In a couple years you'll be too old to sit on the cold concrete and that $25 won't seem so expensive for 'just' a seat". (and just an FYI...he's not coming to Disney with us...he's done it once and says that was enough for him....so consider that factor, lol). So apparently even within my household we differ, lol...but thankfully he's not going and I get to make the choice the girls and I want, so there!

I have a reservation on Thursday, 11/7 that I am looking to switch to Tuesday, 11/5. If there is anyone out there willing to swap, please let me know! Will be forever grateful!

Thanks!

Just booked for March 2nd. So excited, but I wish I had known they changed the policy to 180 days! I missed seeing that somehow :(

I'm glad you were able to get a spot even with missing the 180 day mark! I'm nervous to get mine at my ADR date next week but this makes me feel a little better.

The 180 mark is way better than it was before, we just had to wait and call/ check online everyday! :surfweb: I was the last month to go by the old system (December) and the wait was so stressful but at the same time so much fun with anticipation! Good luck getting your reservation!:goodvibes
