I recently booked a Wishes Cruise from the Grand Floridian on the 25' boat with audio. (Trip in June '09) It is for my parents 40th wedding annivesary but 5 of us will be going. We are all really excited. I was wondering if anybody has done this, what you thought and if you have any tips or advice to make it more special. Thanks.

Hi
I surprised my DH with the Wishes cruise for his birthday last December. It was really a lot of fun!! You get a tour by boat and then the boat will stop and face the Magic Kingdom where you get to watch the fireworks. They have snacks on the boat and gave us blankets, since it was a little chilly that night. What made it really fun was that other Disers were on the boat with us. We talked for a few months before the cruise and met at O'hana the night of the cruise. I also had ordered the birthday banner, but you can get one that's for an anniversary. Also, you can order a cake to be delivered to the boat. I think it was really worth the money. Have a great time!!

We did the Wishes cruise last Sept. and loved it! It was just me, DH, DD (then 5) and FDD (then 17mos). Our guide was great. She had snacks and blankets onboard. We needed the blankets because it was very windy and cold that night. We paid the extra $ for the audio, but it didn't work. I called when we got back to our room and left a message for the marina (our driver said that she would mention it too). The manager called the next day and said he would refund our $. I told him that was not necessary and that I only wanted to be refunded the extra $ for the audio. He insisted on refunding the entire amount because the experience was not "magical" for us. That's Disney service for you!

I would do the crusie again someday, even if we do have to pay for it.

Thanks for the input. I can't wait to go. I'm glad you both had very good experiences.

We did it last year as a Father's Day surprise and it was awesome! Definitely take a sweater, my dd's and I were chilly on the water!! Have a great time!

How much was the cruise and how long did it last? Also, how far in advance does it need to be booked? I either want to do the Wishes Cruise as a family....or take 5 year old DD to the Princess Tea. But I dont think that we will be able to do both.

we didi it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

we had 10 people, DH, DD, my dad & his wife, DHs parents & DHs sister & her 2 kids

they all said it was the "coolest things they ever did"!!!!

my dad even proclaimed he will never watch the MK fireworks any other way!!

I think you will love it...TOTALLY worth the money IMHO!!!
