For those of you who have been on a MK Fireworks Cruise, or an Illuminations Cruise, can you bring your own food onto the boat? Like would they make us throw out our water bottles before we get on or something? My husband and I have one booked for our honeymoon, but when I talked to them about having food on board they cannot specify anything. It is simply "For $40 extra dollars you can have sandwiches, water, and snacks." That would be great, but they cannot tell me WHAT type of sandwiches or snacks!

I'm a very picky eater to begin with, so is my husband, PLUS I have some very rare food allergies, and I do NOT want to pay an extra $40 to have them provide food, especially if we cannot eat it. Any insight onto this?

I know that WDW can accomodate food allergies but they are really being unhelpful about this for a change and it's become very irritating. I shouldn't have to spend 40 minutes on hold while they try to find out what type of sandwiches they serve ya know? Then be told to call 2 seperate numbers to talk to other people, after I already was told to call other numbers and have done so already. See my irriation? Anyways thanks so much in advance for any help!

I just took a Wishes Cruise and while we didn't bring food on it I didn't get the feeling that you couldn't, in fact I thought they said we could, I'm not 100% sure though.

When I checked this feb, they said "snacks" so I'm not sure what that is, but you can bring Wine or such if you'd like.

Hrm...so do you think they'd object if we brought a bottle of non-alcoholic spumante? I'm allergic to most wines (don't drink anyways) but not to this one and WDW can't get it for us (already asked about that). Thanks for the quick responses too everyone!

Another option for an IllumiNations cruise is a 24-foot pontoon boat, which seats 10 comfortably. The pontoon has a canopy, is roomier, and has some drink holders. When you rent either boat, it belongs to your party for the show; meaning the only people there will be the ones you've invited! The price for a pontoon IllumiNations Cruise starts at $140.84 + tax, for a maximum of 12 people. (Not covered under any of WDW package plans.) Cost includes a driver. Optional food and beverage items are available through Yacht Club Private Dining at 407-934-3160. You may not bring your own food or beverages on board.

I found this on allearsnet.com it's for Wishes and Illuminations. We're going in December and I would've liked to bring just coffee on board but oh well :( Kind of hard to sneak hot coffee on :) I wonder if you can order just beverages and not food?

Just confirming other posts. We tried to last year and were told no.

We've done both the Wishes and Illuminations cruises several times. We've always been told that we may not bring any food or drink. I'm sure they would let you bring a bottle of water or a resort mug or something without too much complaint, but it doesn't sound like they will allow much more than that.
