Wishes and caribbean room types

Ok I finally found what seems like a perfect package . It comes with "wishes" how good are these, has anyone used them?

I believe we are staying at athe caribbean--am I spelling that right?
What types of rooms are there?

If you are talking about the Silver/Gold/Platinum Dream Maker Packages,

You cannot purchase the Dream Maker packages anymore. Disney stopped selling them on 1/1/05, replacing them with the new "Magic Your Way" packages. However, Dream Maker packages purchased before that time will be honored for stays in 2005 and fulfilled according to the original offers.

Yeah that is what I thought...well in a way it is true, but you can still buy them from companies that purchased, in my case Delta Airlines...may that explain why the package w/ airfare from Portland OR, 7 nights moderate resort and the dreampackage is $3850

I called Disney and they said that the are honored.

For all sorts of great information about Caribbean Beach check out the two FAQ threads listed below. There are standard and waterview rooms. There are also 2 preferred villages costing extra nightly. There are King bed rooms costing extra nightly also.

I really recommend the "preferred" rooms at CBR. They are in the Martinique section and the Trinidad North section. Close to Old Port Royale (food court and shop) and the main pool. CBR is big and spread out, but that's actually a benefit I think, as long as you are close to the food court and main pool. Like Safetymom said, check out her FAQ threads -- I got just about all my best info from her before my trip. We loved CBR so much, I doubt my two DS (14 and 11) will let me book anywhere else next trip!

I agree about paying for the preferred location. I think water view is a waste of money but the preferred location is worth every penny.
