Is there going to be another one before marathon weekend?
Our shirts from 2009 are looking a little picked... :sad2:

You may want to ask wtpclc because she was one of those doing shirt orders. I know there are a few threads but they date back to last fall if not later.

I'm actually waiting to see someone step up and do a triathlon top but hey, that's just me.

Shan,

Mel (Chimera) put together an order last year around August for the RaceReady shirts and we got them in plenty of time for January. Of course most of us really couldn't wear them this year other than in layers, but lets hope that doesn't happen again! :thumbsup2

Carrie also put together an order around the same time for the other shirts (I think they are cotton, but I'm not sure on that) and Tracy orders the hats and visors also somewhere in the neighborhood of August/September.

Chris

Thanks! Ya, I was wondering about the RaceReady shirts. Ours are really picked from our fuelbelts. Time to get new ones.

I can do another order anytime, just need a minimum of 30 shirts. Now would actually be better for me than August. I'm teaching now and don't have students until fall.

DB...RaceReady makes a trail shirt that has pockets on the back, kinda like a bike shirt but not quite as tight as a regular bike shirt. Carrie was looking into tri shirts awhile back.

I'm interested in ordering a shirt.

Cool beans. Thanks Mel. :thumbsup2

I guess we're up to 3 shirts now on this thread? :lmao:

Do they have to be the same style or can the 30 be a mixture of styles? DH and I had different ones, but that was two years ago.

Count me in! I would be interested in ordering! Make that 4 shirts on this thread! :)

Mix of styles to make up the 30. I'll have to dig up the order thread, but here's the RaceReady website to check out styles and sizes.

For anyone who has never ordered with RaceReady before, they run small so we generally recommend folks order up a size. If you check their website, they do have shirts available in running stores around the US. If there's a store near you, you can go check out the shirts to try them on for sizing.

The trail shirts and women's vnecks are handcut in lime just for the WISH team so sometimes take a little longer, but we always get them in time for marathon weekend. The women's vnecks are the most popular style.

I'd love to have one for the Disneyland Half in September, but it sounds like the order would be mostly focused on getting in for the WDW crowd in January? Count me in, either way. I'd love to have one!

I am going to our local running store on Saturday and check out the sizes for my hsuband and myself. I would really love to have them before W & D. :cool1: But even if not that is okay. What are you anticipating on the cost?:confused3

Thanks,
Kathy

They're roughly $22 or $23 for one, no matter which style. RaceReady charges me $21 + shipping to me, then there's Paypal fees (team orders are done via Paypal). I ship the shirts to you via Priority mail which used to be about $5. Last time, with shipping, orders worked out to $27 for one, $49 for 2, $71 for 3. I don't know if Paypal or Priority mail fees have changed since last year, but that's usually the wild card in the ordering process.

If we order within the next few weeks, we'll easily have them for W&D, but I would not anticipate getting shirts in time for DL.

I would also like one. The one with the pockets sounds great! I am always looking for where to stash food:).

Mel, are you figuring doing two orders or just the one? also, was someone looking into using a different vendor - I think I thought I heard someone talking about it at the Princess. Is Raceready doing lime green long sleeve shirts yet?

thanks again.

I just wanted to reiterate that the shirts run small. Every single tech shirt I have is a small with the exception of the WISH shirt which is a medium and it fits like the rest.

I am talking to makeashirt about being our new supplier for teh AlertShirt style shirts. I will likely do an order in AUgust, as long as we meet minimums, as it seems liek we get a lot more January marathoners coming in later in teh summer.

I have looked into tri shirts. Just not sure if we can meet minimums there. Plus, there's a fee just for getting a sample together. It seems liek a vicious circle adn it's a bit steep fro me to handle on my own if we don't end up beign able to order. Was hoping to do tri shirts and AlertShirt style shirts withteh same vendor bu not sure if they have anough styles and they would be pricier than before. A decent price for tri shirts, but proicey compared to teh other styles. Have soem things to work out, but I'll let you know our options once I have them all.

Carrie, have you ever looked into Champion Systems (www.champ-sys.com). They have a 5 piece minimum order for Tri Shirts (but with a more significant discount at 30 pieces). I know they're expensive but really not anymore expensive than what you would spend with getting a top from 2XU/Zoot/etc. If it comes down to needing someone to be the guinea pig I'm more than willing to take one from the team and order the sample if that's what it took to make it happen.

Btw, pulled this down from the Champion Systems site:

No Extra Charges!
While our prices are very competitive, we truly pride ourselves on our high-quality garments and the extras we provide at no extra cost.

Here's what sets us apart from our competitors:

•We do not charge by color. Five colors or 500 colors — it's the same price.
•We do not charge extra for full zippers. Most companies charge $4-5 extra per jersey. Watch those extra charges — they add up!
•We do not charge extra for a radio pocket on our bib short — it's a standard feature! Most companies charge $10 extra per bib short to add a radio pocket.
•We do not charge extra to add an internal pocket on our skinsuits — it's a standard feature! Most companies charge $10 extra per skinsuit to add a pocket.
•We do not charge extra for special color matching. We use the Pantone Color Matching System, which means we can print virtually any color. Some of our competitors charge $100 per color if you want a special color that they don't offer.
•We do not charge extra for colored lycra. Some of our competitors charge $10 extra per short, bib short and skinsuit if you want another color besides black. Now that can really add up!
•We do not charge extra for different short panel options. Our T-panel, wrap panel and U-panel options are all the same price. Would you believe some companies even charge extra for this!
•We do not charge extra for large sizes such as 3XL or 4XL. Most companies charge $10 more per jersey. The big guys have a tough enough time getting up the hills without having to pay $10 more to do it!
•We do not charge extra to upgrade to a better chamois. Why? Because we only offer one top-quality Italian chamois. It's the same chamois our sponsored pro teams race in. Think about it — if a company is asking you to pay extra for another chamois, what does that say about the chamois you are not paying extra for?

I would most certainly be interested in ordering a shirt as well, please.
