WISH Team Shirt Re-Order Due to Arrive in Early Nov

I cannot believe you guys! You ROCK! All the payments are coming in so fast, I'm really hopeful we can get the order off this week. Thanks for being so prompt and considerate!
 
The bulk of the payments are in and the printer is supposed to call today to verify the final pricing for the order. I'll send Paypal reminders out at the end of the week. I understand completely that some folks had planned on paying closer to the 24th -- the deadline I'd originally proposed -- and that's no problem. We also have a couple of folks traveling. I'd considered trying to cover the cost of the remaining orders personally, but because they total almost $400, that's a bit too much for my poor ragged credit card. :) Even if we don't get our payments to the printer until the 25th as planned, we should still have our shirts in hand by mid-November (possibly quite a bit earlier). So, no worries. :goodvibes Do make sure to get your payments in by the 24th, though.
 
Hey, got another payment today, so we're nearly there! Also got the invoice from the printer and he's honoring the shirt prices he originally gave Carrie (no last-minute surprises on the costs -- always a relief), so we should be good to go as soon as all the payments are received.

I'll be off to DL for the half marathon from the 14th till the 20th but DH will be here at home monitoring the Paypal account for me.

Once again, thank you folks for being so great thru this order process.
 

Darn it... I keep missing the order time frame! Rats! If there are any extra shirts left... I would be interested in purchasing one! Keep me in mind! See you all in January! :)

Just got back into town and discovered I've got all the payments in but one. As soon as I get that one payment in, I can send this order off. Whoooohooooo!

Just got back from the Race for the Taste. Was hoping for news on the shirts, but I ceretainly didn't get the news I hoped. Here's the message from the printer:

Hello Wendy,

We are still backordered on Lime XL's. They were supposed to be in by now, but they will be in around the 20th.

I don't know what your time table is, so please get in touch when it's convenient, so we can discuss.

Sorry for the delay. We usually don't get caught short, but it does happen occasionally.

(Once we have all the shirts, printing only takes a few days.)

Because we weren't supposed to get them back until early November anyway, and because he thought he was going to have them done early, I think we are still okay, but I'll let you know what I find out after I speak with him.

For tonight, I'm just going to try to get some sleep before tomorrow's workday. Happy Columbus Day to you folks lucky enough to get tomorrow off!
 
OK, I just got off the phone with the printer and he says he should be able to ship the shirts to me by early November -- which was when we'd originally planned to have them.

I will do everything I can to ship them to you on the same day I get them. I have all the priority mail envelopes and boxes at home all ready to fill, address, and send out -- I'll be using your Paypal invoice to generate the shipping labels, and I'll include a copy of your invoice as a packing slip so you can see that you got what you paid for. If there is any delay, it will be because I am being extra careful packing your orders. I want to make sure I send you exactly what you ordered!

I am glad I didn't tell you all that he'd thought he could get them to you earlier than planned -- you'd be just as disappointed as I am now! :sad2: As it is, we're still "on [our original] schedule" despite the back order. He's been very upfront all along, so I have no reason to believe we won't get them by early November as he promised.

I think I've told you all I know at this time. If you have any further questions, though, let me know.
 
OK, the good news is he should be shipping the shirts to me by the end of next week. (Finally!) :woohoo:

But the bad news is... the XL shirts came in but he is still apparently going to have to substitute 4 shirts because he doesn't have the exact item requested. :sad1: Because it's only 4 shirts, he suggested that rather than hold up the order any longer, he is going to substitute, print, and ship the shirts ASAP. For example -- and he wasn't certain exactly which 4 when I called him, so this is just an example -- he has sleeveless Ts but no tanks in size small, so he will substitute the small sleeveless for the small tank shirt.

As soon as I have the shirts in and compare his shipment with your orders, I'll let you know if you were one of the unlucky ones and ask if you'll accept his substitution. If your order is affected and you don't like his substitution, I will refund the payment for those 4 shirts out of my own pocket -- I don't want any of you to be unhappy. As he explained it, with 52 shirts in various sizes and styles, it's tough to get all of them in stock at once. He is filling multiple orders each week and stock is always changing, so it's a real challenge to get an order like ours out. Still, I think you should expect to get what you paid for -- so if you don't like it, I'll pay you back and offer the item for sale on the Disboards to anyone who might want it. Again, it's only 4 shirts, so most of us should get just what we requested. As time is growing short, it seems like the only workable solution. (By the way, just so there is no misunderstanding, I am only offering to refund the 4 substituted shirts. This is not a blanket refund offer. My husband would kill me!)

I'm so sorry about the substitutions. :guilty: I'm also sorry this has taken so long, but again, we'd planned for an early November delivery and it looks like we're going to make it by the skin of our teeth.

He promised to call the day he shipped the shirts. I'll let you know the moment I hear anything! Hang in there.
 
Thanks for dealing with all this Wendy. I think your offer is incredibly generous, and I hope you don't have to lose any money over this. You have certainly done so much for us already. Let's just see how it all plays out.
 
Finally! The shirts have been shipped from the printer. :yay:

UPS currently estimates their arrival to my house by the 9th. If they arrive before my local post office closes, I will ship them by priority mail to you the same day.

Hold on, they're coming!

First things first… I am heading to the Outer Banks tomorrow afternoon for the OBX marathon weekend (I’m only doing the fun run and the half). I actually got the shirts at about 3:30 this afternoon, so I shipped 3 packages today and have all the rest ready to go first thing in the morning. The USPS claims Priority mail generally arrives in 2-3 days. I hope they are right!

The following folks have… er… a choice: refund or accepting a substitute. I’ve emailed/PM-ed you with the info. I’ll happily give you a refund if you want one.

Every shirt I ordered -- well, except mine -- are now officially in the mail on their way to new owners. I encourage folks who want to buy a shirt (or get rid of one) to post their desires in a new thread. I remember how terribly disappointed I was when I discovered Carrie had already wrapped up her shirt order just before I found the W.I.S.H.ers and I am very sympathetic, but sadly I have absolutely none left to sell. Knowing how long it takes to get an order together, there's no way we'll have a chance to reorder before January, so the only hope for folks wanting shirts is that someone might have decided they have an extra they don't really need.

Special thanks to Mel, Christa, and Dave who so graciously accepted being the unfortunate few. The last of the 4 substituted shirts was for one of my twin daughters, so I feel your pain!

A huge, huge, huge debt of gratitude is due Carrie, who coached me through the whole process, and to all those involved with the initial design.

Finally, thanks to every W.I.S.H.er who took a chance and placed their order. With a minimum of 50 shirts required, and our order total hovering at 52, there is no way I could have managed if anyone had changed their minds at the last minute.
