I was just reading over the menus, and boy, do a lot of them sound great.
Unfortunately, my dh and dd are not great on trying different foods when it comes to going out to dinner. DD is actually better than DH! If someone were to give her a sample, she'd at least try it. DH? Forget it!

Any suggestions on a restaurant that has a combination of cultural food and the good ol' American standbys?

I am a very picky eater. most places will try and accomadate you the Calfornia Grill was going to help me but I decided to get the kids mac and cheese and they let me. you may try buffets since there are kids food on buffets, This is how I am getting food I like and my DH can try different foods

Absolutely try Boma. They have the best prime rib in WDW. Hopefully, your dh will eat that, then they have spaghetti and meatballs and chicken fingers there, too. With luck, you will go on the night they have the coconut curry salmon. :lovestruc And I don't even care for salmon that much!

My dd is only semi-adventurous, but has always been able to get a steak without the sauce (this year she will probably try the sauce, hooray!!!) and a different side if necessary. If you can get Le Cellier, they have the best ever mashed potatoes, so hopefully your dh will eat them. What about something like Teppan Edo or OHanas? Crystal Palace has decent food, and Whispering Canyon is pretty standard fare, but a hoot!

Have fun planning. Just look to see if there's a meat and a side that can be plained down, and you'll be fine!!!

ps, I'm a Diane, any my dd is 11, and we're leaving in 16 days!! Good luck getting ressies!

Any buffet has those items on the kids section.

A place such as Boatwrights or Olivias might be the sort of thing you are after---
