I've got 30 of Darryl's family arriving any minute:eek:

It's rained a bit, so woke up in a grump this morning cos we're having a huge BBQ, but looks like the sun's coming through - yippee:D

I think that rather nice bottle of bubbly I've put in the fridge will be my reward - and I'm not sharing it, so there:p

Have anice day, whatever you're doing

Good luck - sounds like fun
Hope you get sunshine:D

Good luck, have fun and enjoy the bubbly! ;)

Have a great day and enjoy YOUR bubbly!!

Have a great time and enjoy your reward.

If I were you I'd shut myself in the shed (with the bubbly of course;)) and leave everyone else to get on with it :p :p

Just to make you feel better, my friends neighbours are having a BBQ today and they are expecting 150 guests:eek:

Wow!! that's a lot to cater for. I freak at 10:eek:

Never mind hopefully you'll have plenty of hands for the washing up. Or are you using paper plates:teeth:

Best of luck and enjoy that bubbly.sounds like you deserve it.

Hmmm, might just pop down Annie and raid your fridge when you're not looking!! ;)

Have a great time, sure it'll all go brilliantly. :)

I hate cooking so freak if I have to cook for more than 2 people;)

Good Luck and have great day:p

....... LOL! This reminds me of the large children's parties we used to have for the boys birthdays - one of the most important things on the shopping list was the bottle (or three) of wine/champagne to look forward to once the children had gone!!

I don't mind holding parties/dinner parties for grown ups :) ! I hope you enjoy yours Annie (I heard we'd have plenty of cloud today but no rain).

Good luck! I hope the weather is kind to you!

We had a BBQ yesterday for 21 of DH's 'lot', and survived quite well, so I hope you fare as well! ;). I resorted to paper plates and plastic cutlery, not so much to save on the washing up but more because I didn't think we could lay our hands on enough of the 'proper' ones!

Let us know how you got on, Annie :)

Wow 30 people
Hope it all goes well, and the sun stays out for you!!

Annie? ........... Are you there :teeth: ? Or are you lying down in a darkened room :teeth: ?

:D I'm here :p

Finally got rid of everyone by 11pm last night (blimey it was a long day!).

Yep, I too cheated and used plastic plates, cutlery etc.

The worst mistake was making a rather delicious rum punch - wasn't too sure how many people would imbibe - but everyone did!

I didn't get to drink my bubbly, so am sitting here now supping and very nice too it is:cool:

Got a couple of friends coming up in a minute to tackle the leftover chicken we didn't use (don't want to see another piece of chicken for at least 10 years:eek: ).

We did have a lovely day though - everyone enjoyed themselves . . . especially Auntie Yvonne who was staggering around the garden in the dark at 10.30 last night  :p

If anyone wants a piece of chicken, holler:cool:

I got back from Universal Mediterranea yesterday!! It was great, much nicer than Disneyland Paris...

Go on Dragon Khan, a wicked Roller Coaster in China! 8 revolutions in 45 seconds!

Don't eat in La Hacienda in Mexico, overpriced for only OK food. Most of the places serve reasonably priced burgers etc. It really is quite cheap to eat.

We stayed in Cap Salou, just outside Salou itself. Much quieter, but still be prepared for the embarrassing English mob that will go expecting fish and chips in a newpaper....

Rides - Head for Dragon Khan, Tutuki Splash, Silver Log Flume, Stampida, El Diablo...although longest waiting time was 20 minutes, so no great rush. The Express pass is probably best used for a 2nd ride on whatever ride you prefer.

We loved it, and Costa Caribe, the water park, is really good for the young ones. We bought a 3 days for 2 pass and it was excellent value for money. Don;t expect a Disney type water park thoug, it's much smaller

Have fun and if you need any up to date (well yesterday) info, let me know!

RP :)
