Wish Me Luck

I have an audition for the National Youth Choir. It is this really big choir that holds auditions around the country, so it is really hard to get into (therefore I need a lot of luck). They do these massive tours that go around the world. This yr their tour starts on the July 17th and finishes on September 2nd!!!!! I really hope I can get in.

Yeah I had it yesterday. I was just too tired to post. It was amazing. They were really impressed with my voice. I sang 'The Saga of Jenny' and 'Pie Jesu' by faure. The vocal technique part went well. They said that after only one thing/exercise there was this darker texture to my voice which they liked. So hopefully I will get into the main choir or even the training choir.

I wont here from them until Tuesday at the earliest. So a few days more.

The Saga of Jenny!! I've been wanting to download that song ever since I saw Star, but I never knew what it was called. Now I'm armed with a title. Hooray!!

And I love Faure's Pie Jesu.

Yeah they are. They seemed to like them. I recorded pie jesu on a CD that my school choir was making.

I'm still trying to sort a CD of my last concert. It's currently in tape form, in my music teacher's house in Cambridge One day.

And then you can hear my choir sing, er, Money Money Money and California Dreaming. Great stuff.

And yeah, there's always the Southampton choir. You can sit behind me and point out to me when I'm singing a minor third above everyone else. Oh happy days.

I got the news today. I didn't make it. There were a lot of tears this morning when I read the post. So it has been a pretty bad day so far. If anyone has any ideas in how to cheer me up, I welcome them.

Oh no! Nevermind, there is always next year and although it would have been a great experience, I bet you gained a lot from just auditioning. I know I would never have been brave enough for that. I prescribe lots of ice cream, chocolate and junk food.
