Wish me luck...HH @ 7 mo (updated - success)

Tomorrow (11/14) is the first day of my day by day calling for a HH reservation @ the 7 month window. If all goes well, we'll be there starting June 13 for 5 nights. Want a 2 br, but will take anything.

Update 11/14: So far so good. I got the last dedicated 2br for June 13. Also booked the same villa with cash for June 17. Now all I have to do is wait til Monday (11/17) to try for the middle nights (June 14, 15, and 16). Thanks for all your pixie dust. Keep it comin'.

Update 11/17: Success!! Hurray! I added June 14, 15 & 16 in a 2br on points. Then (and DH doesn't know it yet) I booked another night on cash - Friday 6/18. I just couldn't bring myself to check out on 6/18...my 40th bday. So I gave myself a little present and made our 5-night trip a 6-nighter.

good luck. One good thing is that there are more 2BR at HH than the other size rooms. You will have a better chance since you want a 2BR.

Good Luck! I had no problem booking HH at 7 months - a 1 BR starting May 23 for 4 nights. Of course, this is before some schools are out. My son gets out May 21. I can't wait. Plus we're going "home" to VWL in Febuary 2004.

I don't think you will have any problem getting a 2 bedroom at the beginning of the 7 month window. We have an add-on on at HH with only enought points for a studio for a week. Now that we are taking my daughter and grandson with us, we need a 2 BR and we have to book at 7 months out. No problems so far. As already mentioned, there are more 2 BR than any other size units at HH. Let us know what happens. If you haven't been to HH before, I think you are in for a very pleasant surprise.

You shouldn't have a problem getting the second weekend in June.

I called in January 2003 for ressies for June 5 - 8, 2003, for a studio. There was not even a hesitation to book it.

I thought I would have a problem booking HH at 7 months also for our last trip this past July but I called day to day and got the 2BR no problem; no waitlist or anything. I was worried again when I went to call for our upcoming Easter trip but again, no problem. HH rocks.

Good luck Kelly! We too are also going to try the 7 month booking for HH.

For our trip we're planning to check in June 20 and check out June 24. We'll take whatever's available, so I'm not going to do day-by day, plus part of that calling falls in a weekend anyway. I'll take my chances on the Monday Nov. 24th. Will let you know how we do.
