Wish Maiden Voyage | July 14-19, 2022

Anyone else trying to avoid seeing too many pictures/videos of the inside of the Wish? I don't know, I just want to be surprised and experience it all the first time with my own eyes when we board in just under 22 days!!
I feel that way about some things, but not this. I'm more worried I am going to miss out on something awesome if I don't hear about it first and seek it out. Like @cfisherjr said; pics don't do it justice anyway. It will be just as amazing being there for us regardless of any pics we see online.

I've reviewed the deck plan, am I wrong that there don't appear to be any dedicated adult night time areas like "The District" on the Dream where all the lounges were? If not, any speculation or where they'll do things like "Match your mate" and the other various "adult" activities?

If I remember correctly from previous annoucements they went with more flexible spaces on this ship that are family friendly in the day and then convert to adult only at night and without a dedicated space. My guess is they use Luna.

Ah yeah I bet you are correct.

If I am it is with sadness... I admit I thought there would be 'one more thing' for adults that would be unique or special, but everything except the oh so tiny pool and 'adult only' hours in the Star Wars lounge etc is all pay to play it seems. Id like to hang out in the outdoor Senses area for a bit but it isn't even clear if you can buy a day pass there or what... and again, I'm certain there is $$$ involved to do even that versus the extra little fountain area on the Dream and Wonder.

I'm still insanely psyched for this trip, and thrilled to be on the Maiden, but I am fairly certain at this point the Wish is not going to be our new favorite ship.

Omg you and I are on the same page. That’s why I haven’t let myself get excited. I don’t want to get too worked up and then be disappointed. We did have another one on the Wish booked for our anniversary in September but I changed it to the Fantasy because I’m just not sure how the wish is going to feel.

Not to mention our personal attachment to the Dream. We just love her so much and she’s like home. We shall see. Fingers crossed. See you all realllll soon!

We are also really looking forward to the MV. The joy of exploring a brand new ship and seeing the new spaces - its going to be fun. And confusing I'm sure. ;)

But I'm not thinking the MV will establish a new favorite simply because it is the MV and there will be some things that happen simply because all the kinks aren't ironed out. We have a second Wish cruise booked for November (in Concierge then, couldn't get it for the MV) for my birthday and I'm thinking that cruise will be a more "normal" experience.

Early check-in approved today. Next step is Safe Passage then Covid test at Walgreens on the 12th. Suite cases got brought out for airing. getting there.

Yup - same here. We have had our suitcases out since we got of the Dream last month. ;)

Received the on line check in approved e-mail as well…now need make safe passage account and hope that the Wish will be ready for us on the 14th…

Wondering when we will see our luggage tags. pirate:

I just created my safe passage account and downloaded my vaccine card. Has anyone received their luggage tags yet?

Nope. We fly down July 13, so we hope there is still time. But my DW said she was told the tags can be made upon arrival. This info was from a family that forgot their tags and DCL porters made out tags once they arrived. So, we are fine if that's what it comes down to. I just don't want to loose time at the buffet.😁
