Wish I waited to open my Disney Rewards Visa

After we booked our trip, I signed up for the Disney Visa (not the one w/the annual fee). It gave me a $50 gift card. I signed up through Disney's site.

I received mail today telling me if I sign up for a Disney Visa today, I will get a $200 gift card for the same card I signed up for 5 weeks ago. I am so irritated!

If there is some way to still get a bigger reward I would love it but I know that's not going to happen. Ugh!

We received the $200 offer too but it is for premiere rewards card that requires a yearly fee. Maybe that is the same with your offer - can you upgrade?

OP, others have posted on the boards before that they were able to call Chase and explain that they only received a $50 credit rather than the 200, and Chase went ahead and gave them the full $200.
Worth a shot.

I called last week. They were so nice and took my info., to pass on to the marketing dept. I gave them the invitation number on the mailing they sent me. It was for the regular Visa, not the premiere one. I'll take a look in a week or so online to see my rewards.

There is a way to send Chase a "secure message" once you are logged in to your Chase account. Look in the upper right-hand corner for a link that is titled "secure message center." Click on the link and you will be able to send a note to Chase. I did this and got approval for a better offer - they responded within hours. :cool1:

Chase has a really good customer service policy with this. If you have been a long-term Chase customer, definitely bring that to their attention, as well as how much you appreciate their help, etc. Good luck!

We have our mortgage with them and I also had a car loan with them too. I was impressed, since I was expecting a debate :)

The same exact thing happened to me!! I called right away, in less than a week they adjusted my account and gave me 150 dollars in Disney Dream Dollars (basically same thing as a gift card, you just have to choose when your ready to redeem and put it on a redemption card). I was so happy! :yay:

That is great news. The customer service at Chase Visa has been wonderful for some small issues I have had. TheDisney Rewards Card that gives me extra $$ for my trips for the Rundisney races is a great bonus!

I already have the $50 from when I opened the card, as well as $10 from Disney Movie Rewards. I could request more gift cards from DRV now, but I want to wait until closer to our travel date.
