WISH Discount at Runningskirts.com CONTINUES for ONE WEEK (May 20)

I would really love to try one,but i HATE my legs!!! Even though i have been working out, it took 30 years for them to get this way, so i know it will be time to come off, and i don't want to scare anyone.. LOL

Seems i can't find the "perfect" length - all the "running shorts" are way too short, and other stuff is way too long.. :(

I am 5'6" -- is anyone out there this height, who bought the LONGER skirt? If so, where abouts does it end on you?

I'm 5'5" and bought the longer skirt (also don't like my legs). It stops a little bit above the knee and is very comfy.

Thanks liz! I may have to break down and try a longer one... so i can be one of the "cool people" LOL

I love my UA compression shorts. I plan on wearing those with my Minnie skirt.

Carrie, what does UA stand for? And where can I find them? I love all the colors in the running skirts, but I know I will have chafing. I looked at the compression shorts at skirt sports ($28) so maybe I will try them with the running skirt.

UA - Under Armour. I get mine from Dicks. If you get really lucky, you can hit them on clearance. Make sure you get the heat gear adn not the cold gear. (At least for summer) I haven't tried teh shirt sports comp shorts. Howver, I am having durability issues with the ones that came with my zebra skirt (1 yr old). My UAs are now putting in their 3rd year. Also, teh UAs havea lot more stretch adn areless likely to ride up. JMO. I'm sure otehr brands work too. Dh likes his McGregors from Meijer.

I know it's a bit OT, but figured it was hidden in the post :rolleyes1 enough... I've never owned a white sports bra before (ok, to be honest I don't buy white much in anything other than socks), afraid it would get yucky looking more quickly than a colored one... I'm looking to get a new one, (moving comfort fiona) and the only one they have in my size is in white. Anyone have good stories about owning white :confused3 :rotfl:

What about buying RIT tye, and dying it yourself??

I like that idea, but... can you do that with the wicking material? I know you're not supposed to use fabric softner with it, so not sure if dye would effect it?

I was worried about the same thing with my MC Maia in pink but it's holding up really well (no stains). Come to think of it, I wore white sports bras all through HS (especially we had white shirts on the tennis team) and they never discolored either.

I have a white fiona and it seems to have done fine. No issue here! :goodvibes

Stacie

great, thanks Morgan!
And I guess white does go with everything.... :lmao:

Oh, i have no idea.. sorry!! :confused3 It was just the first thing that came to mind.. :)

Thanks Stacie.

Caitsmama - no worries, I really like that idea, and often forget about dying things.

I think I'm going to do it!

BTW, I got my skirts yesteray, tried them on very quickly this morning just to make sure size was right and they fit great! Now tonight I will try them out on the TM. I got the minnie (very cute) and the navy athletic, also cute....

My 3 YO white FIona's are ok. I also got black from DIck's adn I got a pink from somewhere. :confused3 Love those! I think we need moer shopping threads to disguise our girl talks. ;)

Wore the athletic skirt on TM last night. Way comfy! :thumbsup2 No riding up, no chafing. Now going to have to buy another.

I've got 2 white sports bras and don't have any trouble with discoloring/staining.

Carrie - think you're right. Guys seem to avoid the girlie clothes shopping threads. ;)

I'm a white bra kind of girl and have never had a problem. I occasionally throw a splash of bleach in when I wash them. I'm sure that this shortens the life on them, but it makes me feel better. There was a show on a few years ago that said "Bras are only good for 6 months, after that the support is wearing down and you need a new one". I'm not sure if that same rule applies to sports bras, but at $40 a pop, I sure hope not. That would be a good question for RW.
Can someone post what the length is on the RunningSkirt from the top of the waistband to the bottom seam. I want to compare it to my skirt at home to see if I should go with the running style or the athletic style. Thanks.

Tracey - Yours are only $40? What a bargain. ;) I need new ones, but mine have lasted 2 to 3 years. DOn't remember when I finally found teh fit I wanted.

http://www.runningskirts.com/sizing.html <--- The link has length info for both the running and athletic skirts by size.

I just received my chocqua running skirt and I am so impressed/surprised with how soft the material is! I was expecting your typical spandex but this is soo nice! I would go try it on right now except I am at work and I don't want to scare my co-workers :rotfl:

Carrie thanks for the info on the UA shorts. I will have to look into them.

On the topic of sports bras, I just bought some from champion catalog dot com (not sure if I can post the link) and all their sports bras are on sale for $19.99. Plus free shipping over $100. I bought a few different ones to try out. But I am not large in the busty area, so I don't know how well they are for those with more than me.

Anyway, just thought I would give a heads up in case any are looking.

Becky

I started with Champion, but I'm too big for most of them. Warning: If you try teh max support kinds tehy have, they only unhook part wasy in teh back and can be a PITA to get on and off.
