Well, I gained 1.5 lbs, but since I feel bloated, and we went out yesterday I am thinking (hoping) that at least part of that is water retention. I did not make the best choices last weekend, and yesterday, but that is okay, cause this is real life, and I can't be perfect all the time. Plus, if I set my self up as having to be that way, I will just become discouraged and quit!
SO... I may go off plan today, as we have a party, but I will be right back on tomorrow morning, and will have a good report for next weigh in.

Have a wonderful week!

Jeanne

:wave2: Jeanne, thanks for getting this thread started. With a holiday both here and in the States (Columbus Day, right?) I think that there will be a lot of off plan eating. And that's okay for me, too. I need to know that I can eat what I want, when I want. What is different, is how/what I am choosing. I am thrilled with that. I may taste everything, but I don't think that I will gorge myself. And I promise not to complain when I maintain (like today) or even move up a bit---as that is my choice to enjoy.

Each of us makes our own choices. Each of us makes the journey alone. With wise choices and the support of our friends here on WISH, the journey will be successful, whatever your definition of success is. And, for today, mine is maintaining. :) And keeping my exercise clippie. It's 3 months next week!

Have a great weekend my friends. Onward and downward. You are doing a wonderful thing to make yourself healthy. Weigh to go!

This week was a losing week. Almost 4 pounds again.

I guess I'm still searching for that elusive balance of food that will result in a maintenance!!!! I ate 28 points, and gained 2 pounds. I ate 27, and lost almost 4.

Well, I'll keep going with what I'm doing as long as I don't go over 194, I'm fine! :)

Have a great week everyone!

Well, as my official weigh in verifier is out of town... it looks like I'm down 1/2 lb for the week.

I was really bloated at the beginning of the week though- so this 1/2 lb is a positive thing!!

Onward and downward, everyone!!!!

I'm also down 1/2 a lb this morning. I was hoping the Whoosh Fairy :wizard: might stop in again this week but I know she has to visit other houses too :D! As I didn't do anything different this week I am assuming having a bigger than normal loss last week may have something to do with the smaller than normal loss this week. Now I am only 1/2 lb from my next clippie - it's mine next week!!

I've lost 2 lbs this week. It doesn't seem like much but I'm thrilled. I started excercising on Oct 1 and since then have been retaining a few lbs of water weight in my muscles. I'm thrilled that my muscles are finally getting used to the exercises and look forward to more regular losses now. :)

My new found muscles are pretty cool too. ;)

Down 1/2 pound this week to 133. As I'm getting closer to goal it's coming off more slowly, but still coming off it is! :) Still amazed at how small of portions I need to eat to survive and yet still be filled with energy and feeling good.

Well, I am back from a wonderful vacation with my family. I was definitely off-program for the trip--in fact I ate pretty much whatever I wanted, but did take the stairs, rode bikes etc. I am actually down 2 pounds from my last weigh-in. YEAH!! Looking forward to getting back OP. Good luck to us all.

Kayeandjim00, I like you attitude!! :D

I just started WISH yesterday so I not quite ready for my first weigh in. Today has been a good day though. I went to the gym and am keeping a journal of what I eat. I also bought a yoga video and plan to give it a try....I have never done it before. I am actually excited to see how I like it!

Congratulations to all the losers!!

I lost 5 lbs this week. I haven't had a chance to measure yet so I'll update with that a little later.

Otto's Doll Thank you for starting the check in thread this week, my friend. I do love reading about my fellow WISHers progress each week.

I imagine that small gain is fluid retention. You are wise to hop right back on plan after a celebration with offplan foods. Excellent!

Debbie Columbus day doesn't usually entail any feasts in the US. At least, not at my house. This is your Thanksgiving, though, isn't it? Enjoy your feast. You sound like you are in control and will enjoy your day. Good for you! Excellent positive attitude, my friend.

SnackyStacky You may always bounce up and down a little, Dan. The point is that you are very successful at maintaining your goal weight. I'm impressed.

When you are a WW leader will you write your own "sermons" (I don't know what they call them) each week? I sure wish I could attend one of your meetings.

*Flower* Good for you! Losing .5 pounds in a week is progress. You're doing great. Can't wait to meet you in November. We need to finalize those plans.

kayeandjim00 Losing .5 pounds is excellent, cutie. I'll bet you earn that new clipart very soon. You are doing so well and I'm very proud of you. I hope you are feeling proud of yourself.

LisaTx Losing two pounds is wonderful progress, Lisa! You're doing great and I'm feeling very proud of you. If you lost two pounds every week you would lose 104 pounds in a year. You don't even need to lose that much. You are on your way to goal and nothing can stop you now. You have really motivated me this week, thank you!

ohiominnie Way to go! You are working your way to goal and doing very well. You will be sporting that goal clipart soon, I'm sure. I'm proud of you!

NCRedding How wonderful! You enjoyed a happy vacation and still lost two pounds. Way to go! Are you feeling proud of yourself? I sure hope so because all of your WISH friends are sure proud of you!

honeymo78 WOW! You lost 5 pounds? You sure are calm about it, I would have been bouncing all over the place if I had done that. I'm so happy and proud for you!

Onward and downward

Katholyn

Missed last weeks weigh-in. I think I was very close to the same weight as I have been for the last couple of weeks. But this weigh-in I lost another 1/2 pound. It's going to take me a year at this rate.......But 1/2 pound loss is something I'll take.

Patty

PS---Katholyn how do I put the 10 clip art in my signature? Only 1 pound to go until I can upgrade my clippie.

Well, I have been back from my three week vacation for a week this morning and at last I have built up the courage to post!!

I set out on the holiday with the best of intentions - but sadly I let myself down and didn't stick to them beyond the first few days :( ! Had a wonderful time though!!

I have gained a lot - in the month since I last posted - I was foolish a week ago when I got home and didn't weigh and report in! I thought 'that is it, there is no point, I can't do it'.
Today though, the start of a new week, I am getting more positive again and I know I have to do it! So it is back to Atkins Induction rules from today onwards! I just hope I don't feel quite so icky as the first week and half last time - we will see!

To end this post on a positive note - the best thing is that I have just done the Walk Away the Pounds Express one mile - I did find it hard but I enjoyed it and plan to do it at least once, hopefully twice, a day. This is a massive decsion and comittment for me as the ultimate exercise hater!!

Today a new beginning - onwards & downwards,
Claire:wave:

I've lost 1lb this week. Maybe not as much as I had hoped for but it's enough to be able to claim my new 10lb clippie:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: So I'm pleased.

Glad you enjoyed your holiday Claire

Hope everyone has a great week

Helen:wave2:

I had a 1/2 lb. loss this week which I am thrilled with. I really thought I had gained this week. Most of the week I was good but when you get a chance to go to a Cub playoff game how can you not eat peanuts and nachos? Ok I know you can, but this is real life and if I will be following this for life I have to learn how to deal with situations like this. So I had some peantus - but not nearly as many as I would have had in the past. I had some nachos but not the cheese. The Cubs won that game and I still lost a little so all is good! :D

Also ate out a lot more than we normally do because of doing things this weekend. Some of that blanced out with walking.

I'm proud to have used my new portion skills so that I didn't slip into my old ways.

On to a new week where I'll be watching Cub games at home and eating smarter! :D

Here's to a great week everyone! Onward and downward!

2 lbs down for me this week and It was TOM I'm still waiting on the Woosh Fairy (where are you), hoping she'll be at my house soon to take the bloating away. 1 more pound till my first 10% goal.:bounce: :Pinkbounc

Another good week and another couple of lbs. I'm down to 256 - I may just hit 250 or below by Disney!!!

Because the Whoosh Fairy was here last week and I lost a good bit. This week, that horrible Bloat Fairy just couldn't stand being shown up by the WF so she came, stayed and acted like she'll never leave!

So, finally yesterday I dropped a 1/2 pound and evicted that BF!!!

so, down a 1/2 lb for the week and another inch off my hips. BUT....regardless of the BF I bought some new clothes this week, size 14!!!! This is officially the smallest I've been since 1994! I cannot believe I bought a size 14, not just pants/skirts but also shirts and a jacket! and the jacket in size 12 was just a little too tight, but soon I'll be there too. It is very surreal to shop in the regular sizes and try things on that were too small 2 weeks ago and have them fit perfectly now. my old clothes (size 20-22) are so huge now I look like the victim of bad hand-me-downs.

Keep going everyone, let's have a great week! I have a formal Halloween Ball this coming weekend and plan to look stunning in my new size 14 outfit!!! We can all do this, we just need each other (and a hitman for that BF!)

4 lbs lost for me this week!
A total of 29lbs since May, what a great feeling. I was hoping for 5 since I just started the South Beach diet this week, but since I had already started low carb on my own before, I guess the weight loss will be slower.
But I will take the 4 and keep on going!

Checking in. :( Up 3 lbs. BF, TOM, and a cold! Trying to keep up my spirit because I know I will have a woosh sometime in the next 4-5 days, as long as I don't get too run down from this stupid cold and start feeding my face! Conrats to all who've seen success! Keeping the Faith for those of us who've had a setback!

Tracy
