Thought I would get it started again this week!!!! I jumped gingerly on the scale this morning and I am showing a 1.5 pound loss!!!

I really was not expecting that much because I have had a hard time getting in my water this week. At work I am positioned in the cafeteria dining area selling ice cream, chips, and beverages. The kids are coming to me non stop and I just do not have a spare second to drink the water. I was wishing on Friday that I had one of those silly hats that you can hook up a bottle on each side and has the straw going to your mouth (hands free)!!I think they sell it for beer drinkers as a gag but I really could use something like that!!

They sell those back-pack things at Wal-Mart and other stores...some people call them "camels." We saw them at Wal-Mart the other day in the backpack section.

I also saw a guy at WDW this summer using one...he said he froze the "bladder" at night and it kept the H20 cool all day!

OK...now to the purpose of this thread! I was NOT expecting to lose this week. I had lost 4 pounds during each of the last 2 weeks and had a stressful week because of the start of school, etc. I WAS able to drink my water...I am PARCHED after teaching 50 minutes! I have to get back into the groove! But I was SO POOPED the first few days that exercise took a backseat this week...back to it today!

Well, this morning I show a loss of a whole POUND!!! I am really happy with that! Our scale is at least 30 years old and I'm too cheap to buy a new one...it is sometimes finicky...like showing 189 when I step on it and showing 196 when I step on 3 seconds later! But, I've learned how to "read" it...I always take the lowest number!!!! lol! I really just take the average or what it shows most often (I'm a little excessive about weighing...like 12x in a row just to make sure!).

Anyanyanyway, all that to say I lost a pound!

ALL MY WISH FRIENDS...HAVE A GREAT WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!

Carmen

I did my weigh in this morning...... and lo and behold- I'm another 1.5 pounds lighter!!!

It's still not quite enough to get my 15 pound clippie, but I'm hoping that I can do that in a week or two.

Congratulations to everyone.... and DANG!!! I really wanted that new clippie this week........

Maybe I'll just stick to my home scale instead of using the shipping scale at work.......

I hope everything is okay with Holly! I haven't really seen to much of her around lately. Unless I'm just not looking in the right threads! :teeth:

Well, after a vacation at Topsail Island, North Carolina, a week of stuffing my face, and a couple of days RIGIDLY back on program, I showed a loss of about a pound! (It was 1.something, but I don't remember what....)

Anyway, I'm trying to do maintenance to stop the losing now. I bit the bullet, and got under Weight Watchers range so I can work for them and earn back some of the money I paid them!!!! I am under their 194 mark, at 191 pounds, and sent in my application, so we'll see what happens.

I'm so not into this hold it steady mode!!!!! Need lots of help and support!!!!

I have my weigh in at WW tomorrow night.... but my new scale (which I think is actually heavier than the WW scale) says I am down about a pound.

My daughter and I walked for 45 minutes this morning- I plan on making that a daily thing!

 Hello Lurkers!

Last week was my first week on our diet and I lost 6 lbs. This was my first official week on WISH (I joined late this week) and lost 1.5 for the week. This is a great thread, it's great to see how everyone is doing! Congratulations to all of you!

THanks Mum4jenn!!!!! I got up late this morning and am ready to rush out the door!!! Well the scale surprised me greatly this week!!! I hoped on several times to the same reading each time so I guess it is correct!!!! It says I lost 4 pounds!!!!!! I have been good this wekk so I am excited!!! Here's to a great week everyone!!

After much soul searching I have decided to go back to WW. I have enjoyed doing the Atkins program but after years of still to a low fat regime I just can't keep up all the fat intake.

This will be my first full week back on WW, wish me luck and I will post my loss next week.

I was also pleasantly surprised this morning to record a 1 pound loss. I started back to Curves, and have focused more on exercise than diet this week, so I really didn't expect the loss. Good luck to us all!

Good morning my friends. Congradulations to everyone looks like your off and running to a great new week! Dan hang in there. I actually thought about it must be hard on your not Work for loss and i'm sure it's very difficult to change gears in your journey. You've made it this far i know you get the hang of things and get adjusted soon. We are here for you and i wish you nothing but success.

As for me i'm still hanging at 161 today (that's after getting on the scales THREE times this morning). I had a last night last night drank TOO much water yesterday for all those waking hours and was on my feet over 5 hrs right before bedtime so everything hurt and was sore in my joints this morning. It's TOM this week and i'm not having any fun and feel all crabby. It will pass though i'm sure. So for me i'm 0 for the last seven days. I'm disappointed cause i stayed back exercising mon- thrus last week and i don't know i just was hoping for more but it'll come eventually i'm waiting on the Whoosh fairy to come grace my scales.LOL

Have a wonderful healthy week everyone.

:( For the past few weeks I am only losing under a pound.....waaaaaaaaaaa Now I'm reading and wondering if I am not drinking enough water. While I'm working, I forget!!!!
Oh well, good job to all losers, and I'll join you next week (I hope!)
:p Peg

Hi everyone! I've been lurking the past couple of weeks and thought I would introduce myself and officially start watching my diet (I hate that word, ha!). I did start working out last week (W, TH, F to the Firm tapes) and intend to weigh-in tomorrow AM and start doing a low-carb thing (not sure if I can do Atkins, but am going to try).

I have three children (DD 9, DS 8 & DD 6). We are so busy all week long that I find myself reaching for ice cream bars & desserts as a way to combat the stress. We are doing alot of activies: church, cheerleading/football, tumbling classes once a week for the girls, plus my son has physical therapy once a week and of course, homework. I also work in the lunchroom of our school 2 or 3 times a week. Maybe I've gotten us too busy, but the kids really enjoy all the action. I like it, too, but it makes planning meals a nightmare.

I weigh about the same as I did when my youngest was born. Since I've been working out (worked out alot from Jan - May), I don't feel like I look as "fat" as I did when she was born, but the scale just continues to amaze me. In fact, I looked in a mirror at my daughter's gym during tumbling class last week ang got a good look at my "butt" from behind and I was so shocked! It looked huge! I would really like to loose 15 lbs and get into great shape. I seem to be able to handle to exercise stuff, it's the food I have a problem with.

I look forward to the challenge this week and hope to be able to report that I've lost something (hopefully not my pride) by next week.

Good Luck to all of you! I've read many of the posts and feel like so many of you are doing totally awesome! I'm inspired by your successes! Thanks!

Lissa

I also have a wonderful DH who puts up with all of my Disney fixations and constant vacation planning. I tell him it's my only hobby (which it really is). I just had to mention him - I am ashamed that I didn't include him first in my previous post.

Thanks,
Lissa

Woo Hoo! As noted in another thread, I finally broke a plateau and lost 2 pounds this week! :bounce:

Cinderelli, WELCOME to WISH!

Sounds like everyone is doing great so far, and for those who haven't lost, hang in there! We can all do this together!

good job all you loosers

I got on pajammatam's scale Sat morn and realize Im having a tough time loosing these last 4lbs. Maybe because Ive always had the thought in my head that Im overweight and this is keeping me there? Anyways I set my new goal that by the end of Sept I want the 4lbs off. This will give me Oct to loose 5lbs to give me leeway onboard the Magic.

So what are your plans now?

Great job everyone! I don't weigh in until Friday so I just wanted to post and say Well done, to all of you have lost and for those who haven't hang in there it will come!

I've been away for two weeks up North hiking beautiful trails in Franconia Notch!

I'm hoping hanging out with you all will get me down a pound or two this week.;) :)

My goal this last week of the month is to work on my Bowflex for 10-15 minutes on my abdominal muscle every day. I want to get it really strong before I have to surgery. I think I'll bounce back faster, what do you think? DH says it will just make it harder for them to cut through it:rolleyes:
Maybe the added exercise will help me get to 25lbs. before then too!
Good Luck to everyone on your goals! I'll have plenty of time coming up to read them ALL!

Hi! I'm checking in today. . .had my first official weigh-in this today (Monday) and I'm down 5 lbs. this week! Yippee!:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc
:bounce: :Pinkbounc (That's a bounce a lb.!)

Thank you, WISH members, for helping out this past week!

New goals: Two pound loss by next weigh-in, 9/1
Exercise program 6x/wk.

Well I weighed in this morning and I was down a pound. I know I should be happy with that result but it was a bit of a disappointment since I had been down 1.5 - 2 pounds until today. Oh well I will just have to work harder this next week.

I had a bit of a mixed week. I stayed OP all but 2 days. One of those days was Friday for our "date" night. We had a friend watch DS while DH and I went out for the first time since April. :) I did a little too much eating but I probably only went over by 5 points or so - not too bad.

The other day was Saturday and it was all my fault. Earlier in the day I was just not really hungry (ate too much Friday night ;) ) so all I had was a banana and half an apple. By the time dinner rolled around I was starving. We were going to do veggie pizza but also cheesy bread for DH and DS. Well I cooked the cheesy bread first and by the time it was done I was STARVING!!!! I dug into the cheesy bread while the veggie pizza was cooking. I ate WAY too much of that bread and then followed it with two slices of pizza. :( I need to learn not to get myself into that position. I should have forced myself to eat something else earlier in the day so that I was not that hungry by dinner. A starving person does not make the best choices.

My other success for the week was adding exercise to my life. I did the WATP tapes 4x this week, I have finished the 2 mile WATP tape for the first time (actually did it twice :) ) and I did some pretty heavy duty gardening. I think the gardening was harder on my body than the WATP. My thighs are really hurting from it. All of that crouching and standing back up really is a work out.

Well I need to be careful this week but as usual there are always challenges. My family is coming to visit on Saturday/Sunday so it will be hard to avoid being around good food and to avoid the stress that comes with family visits. ;) I need to develop a plan in the next few days for how I am going to handle the visit.

In the meantime congrats to all the losers and a {{hug}} to the maintainers and gainers. Today is a new day so lets all be LOSERS!!! :)

I was chastised by Kath, so I'm here to check in. ;)

I'm down another 1 1/2 lbs this week. That makes a total of 17 1/2 lbs.

I had a little slip Tuesday. It was my first one since starting Atkins. I had to have Mexican food and salad or fajitas just would not do it for me. I had enchilidas, tortillas and chips. The funny thing about it is that they just didn't taste like they used to. Coincidence or have my taste buds changed as well?

Don't worry, Becka, my weight goes up and down a lot too.
