Winter is here...the kids need new gloves $$

Winter came early this year...at least I was prepared with new snow boots and coats for the kids. Unfortunately I was not prepared with gloves. The gloves that were their favorites last year are not cutting it this year. Tell me about your favorites. I am willing to buy quality gloves at a price since obviously we will get our money's worth.

do they just not work this year or are they just not liked. I say, If they work then the kids keep them. I don't have any special brands, just comfort and warmth and about a million p[airs for when they get left/lost at school.

For me, I have decided I like slightly loose fleece gloves. I have found if the gloves are too tight, my hands get cold (same with socks & boots). If they are too loose I can't hold on to anything and my hands still get too cold (have that problem with mittens too). I started buying my winter gear at Land's End during sales.
If you are just looking for bunches of gloves, one year I bought a ton of them for DH (he loses everything) at 'Value City' or the like. Got the same color so he could lose one or two and I might still be able to make a pair with the leftovers.

They can' get their hands through the cuff. The cuff isn't a stretchy knit; otherwise they kept their hands warm and dry. The mittens are OSFM and I bought the L/XL gloves and they have the same problem with the cuff.
