Winter Hotel Discount

The new winter hotel discount for on site hotels activated this morning for stays starting January 9, 2023 into early March. Even if you have an existing reservation, it's worth looking to see if you qualify and can save money. It only applies to Sunday-Thursday nights for "most" dates (presumably excluding some holidays). I was able to call in this morning and get the lower rate for part of my stay and save a couple hundred dollars!

The winter sale was announced later this year on Dec. 7, 2022.
It was announced in 2021 on Nov. 17.
Easter is April 17 in 2023.
I would expect the spring discount sale to be announced in late March or early April.
I would start checking in the middle of March.

So dumb question….I had previously booked (and have now paid for) an early January stay that includes one night (Jan 9) that’s included in the discount dates. There is the same room class available at the discount rate for that night. I called to try to get the reduced rate for that night, and was told I wasn’t eligible. Is this true, or could it be an uninformed cast member? Is it worth calling again and speaking with someone else? Thanks!

I would call back. I think since all of your vacation is not in the time period for the sale - Disney could deny it. But I would try. I think your entire vacation needs to start on January 9 and after to be eligible.

Yes there is always a winter sale. As well as a spring sale. Late summer sale. Fall Sale and sale during Nov/Dec 22nd or so.

Disney also released a winter Disney Visa Card discount during the same dates as the regular winter discount. The discounts look to be a bit higher, but only applies to higher room tiers (standard may not be included).
