Hey guys just wanted to share what I read on disneylandnews.com!!

I know we were talking about the rumor of the lights they had on the castle last year extending down Main Street and now it's offical.

The Christmas holiday season gets underway on Friday, Nov. 21, when the traditional “A Christmas Fantasy” daily parade and “Believe … in Holiday Magic” fireworks make their seasonal debuts. The towering Christmas tree appears on Main Street, U.S.A., and the décor and nighttime show surrounding Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle will be will be more spectacular than ever. The lights and effects that appear after dark extend into Disneyland Central Plaza, down Main Street, U.S.A., and to the Christmas tree at Town Square for a sparkling transformation that sets the scene for “Believe … In Holiday Magic” fireworks with their magical snowfall finale.

Additional holiday highlights include the return, Nov. 21, of the “it’s a small world” holiday attraction, celebrating holiday traditions around the world.

You can read the article here: Abundance of fall fun at Disneyland Resort as new shows and attractions enhance traditional Halloween and holiday seasons.

It also mentions the offical opening of Pixie Hollow on October 28, the new HSM 3 parade on October 24, Blue Sky Cellar DCA Preview Center on October 20, and Sleeping Beauty Castle Walkthrough "in time for the December holiday season."

Enjoy!!

YAY! It's a Small World!!! :dance3:

I read the title of this thread and thought it had opened today, which would have been WAY early, but very cool.

Fun news to look forward to!

IASW opens November 21st?!

Other reports say Nov. 29th but hey that's cool. I bet they wanted it open for Thanksgiving. I'll definitely be going early December.

Thanks for sharing the article, prettyprincessbelle. I am so excited! I was so hoping the beautiful lights would be returning since I missed them last year. Now not only will I get to see them but even more of them! And YEAH for the return of Small World on the 21st! We leave on the Sunday, the 23rd so I better brace myself to stand in some long lines Friday and Saturday. Oh well, that's why we extended our stay by 2 days... just so I could catch the holiday kick off events and openings. Whoo-hoo!

Only other thing I am still hoping for is the Castle Walkthrough to be opened while we are there. At one time I read somewhere they would open on November 11 but this article certainly did not confirm that date.

SOOOOO happy to hear IASW is opening early! We take a quick trip right before Thanksgiving for our Christmas fix........and I was bummed I was going to miss it this year!

I am so excited for more lighting effects this year. The moments after the fireworks during the snowfall truly are my most favorite at DLR every year, and to know that it will be potentially even more beautiful this year gives me so much to look forward to!:woohoo:

HOLY COW !!!!

That is SOO exciting :) Now I'm gonna have to check it out when it comes :goodvibes

You're welcome everyone! I'm so excited!! Especially for ISAW... And for the lights down Main Street.. The lights on the castle were just breathtaking last year, it's going to be beautiful on all the other buildings...

Jazz, you better come down here and check it out! You guys will have APs, yeah?

My fiancee JUST got me an AP for our anniversary :) He ROCKS. I'm totally thinking about it, but Kaycee's birthday is in January and she said if I can't go w/ her on her big 21 trip to Vegas because of $$ issues, I shouldn't be going to DL

WORD.

I know EXACTLY what you mean :) I wish we weren't in this slump right now because of the whole economy situation. I am getting diddly squat in tips right now. Thats pretty much why I don't think I can make it to her birthday. Also the fact that its sin city. How can you not spend a lot of money there  Maybe she won't absolutely hate me if I drive to DL to see the decorations ;)
