How are those things when towing? I just cant imagine. Is it closer to towing a camper, or more akin to just an elongated vehical? Or a bit of both? Im dumb on this. ( and a lot of other stuff im told!) Thanks.

I tow a 2011 Tahoe and I don't even know it's back there. It pulls nice, changes lane smoothly and stops fine. I use a Blue OX brake in the car.

Congrats @PaHunter That will be a nice setup for you!

I miss my bus sometimes. But not often. I only had the Cummins ISC and it pulled everything I put behind it. 24' race trailer full to the brim, towed on a blue-ox system, or nothing at all. No matter what I got 9mpg.

So in the first post is a picture of the faucet that came with the coach.


We replaced it with this one, that has a LED to tell you the temp of the water. Nice for the younger nephews.



This was the basic bathroom faucet, hard to get your hands under.


This is the replacement installed.


Bedroom lights were not very bright.


New lights installed, and wow. Need the sunglasses.


Had one light not working....this one in the bathroom did



replaced the non working light with new red ones.


And of course the coach has camera's one to the rear and one on each side. Monitor was upgraded to color at some point during the life of the coach. So we replaced the rear camera.



it is a little tighter picture, but very usable, and the best part was the cost, 40 dollars.

We have similar ones in our bathrooms.

That was part of it, but we wanted to be able to hit more of the State Parks again here in PA and at 43ft, that was tough. So being 40 feet, we fit in to a lot more places. Outside of our big trips, when we camp, we do not explore much outside the park. So having just the motorcoach is alright. It was not an easy decision with DW and I spending a lot of time talking about it.

Both of them are residential faucets. My fittings had been in place since the coach was built, so I had to cut them off and use sharkbites to attach the faucets to the coach plumbing.

Did the same with my RV's, those cheap fixtures are the first to go...

When we brought the coach home, we ran the heat and wiped everything down with hydrogen peroxide. Cleaning up the heavier dirt afterward with an orange cleaner. One of the things we also did was replace the air filter for the AC and heating system. It was a little dirty.


Today I had another productive day. Blu ray player installed, gasket replaced in side camera, was hoping to get air filter for engine done, but the rain moved in. Also got the slide arms lubed with graphite, so we are almost ready for camping.

I am sure that was not an easy decision. Even just trading in and upgrading last year was at least 3 weeks of discussion prior to the show we bought at and then most of the day talking amongst us all.

I think at some point a motor home might better fit our needs, right now the 5th wheel gives us what we need. I know at 42' we are limited in our choices of RV sites, though so far I been able to fit into a 40' listed site, albeit with a smaller tow vehicle. Wth a family of 4, full hookup is my preferred route anyway so we don't mind finding a park near the state parks to explore.

Though we are still looking at the one you discussed since that would work for a long weekend and lots of hiking nearby.

So our first camping trip this year will be mid april. For our shake down trip we will be staying close to home. Campground is Paradise Stream, it is about 25 minutes from the house, campsites back up to the lake. And there is a nice dog park up on the hill. We have stayed here before, so a nice familiar place to spend our first trip out.

So this morning, went to do a couple things in the coach, looked at the camera I fixed and low and behold, it was upside down. So had to take the cover off, spin it 180 degrees, and retighten. Then built and installed the extend a stay, so now we can connect our grill and blackstone to the large propane tank. Need to order a hose for it, but then we will be totally ready. Should be putting liquids back in next week, followed by spices, canned good, then dry goods.

I have a quick connect for the blackstone. Most of the older MH do not have an external hookup for propane. So I had to t in to the mainline, and add a second connection point. It terminates in the same threads as the small bottles. So I have to have propane gear make me a hose with the small bottle end on one side, and just the quick connect with shutoff on the other end. I need to route this thru the storage compartments and to the passenger side. On the addition is second regulator to drop from high to low pressure. There are a ton of videos on how to do this on utube. Then my grill quick connect will also work as the pressure is regulated down. Easy Peasy.

It is really frustrating when you order something you need for camping, put it in a safe place for the off season, then have no idea where it is now that it is time to need it.

Lol, i have 3 of everything, 2 of them are put away for safe keeping in the house or camper and the 3rd is being delivered. I was doing some electrical work and couldn't find a beepy tester. So i went out and ordered another one, when i went to take off the eletrical panel cover there were 3 of them on top of it.
