World Showcase is one of the crown jewels of Walt Disney World, so it's great to see it win the poll!

Now this next poll is gonna either be a big hit or you guys will abandon me forever. I want to know, if you could change, take away, bring back, or add anything in Disney World what would it be? Whatever your wishes are for WDW to be, I want to hear them! Keep them semi-realistic; not like "make it free" or "no crowds". If you were in charge of Disney Imagineering, what would you do?

List your 5 wishes for Disney World!

1. Redo Journey into Imagination - Not even just bring the "first one" back, do something BETTER, since technology is BETTER, and you CAN. Also - definitely bring back DreamFinder, and MORE FIGMENT!!!!

2. Spain, Greece, Australia, and some sort of "former USSR" pavilions in Epcot. Don't know about the money/logistics with those countries involved, but somehow make it happen!

3. Bring the long-thought-of Beastly Kingdom to life. I LOVE unicorns, dragons, all kind of mystical stuff. A dragon was still on AK icons/flags for a LONG time, and I'd LOVE to see some iteration of this come to life.

4. Something along the lines of Pleasure Island brought back to life. NOT Disney Springs - I realize there is a mix of shopping and dining (and even entertainment if you want to go to the movies, or bowl) there, but that's MAINLY what it is. Pleasure Island was a fun, ADULT night time entertainment area. And it MUST be paid admission to the WHOLE area, NOT just "by club" - that was a slow descent towards its downfall, when the "gated price" was taken off, and more and kids/teens/tween started hanging out there. Of course this type of idea may have been more viable before the Pulse tragedy (I totally get there will be reservations with this idea now, so don't flame me!!!!). I don't even drink anymore, but would love an "adults only" area to hang out in at night, and listen to music, or see a show, or just "chill".

Can't think of anything CONCRETE for my #5 right now. I would love to say "make it more reasonable in price", or "make the crowds less", "make it more fun, like it was in the 90's, not as stressful" - but - like you said - those are not realistic, and I don't have concrete ideas on how to do any of that, just wishes that it were.

EDITED TO ADD: Agreeing with Phil - thanx for the idea - #5 is Bring the "Disney standard" of cleanliness, maintenance, and service back - Make it all Jb #1, and second nature, like it used to be!!

That's an interesting one .... especially what the line between realistic and unrealistic - but it is fun to dream and imagine!

1) Bring back Adventurer's club or something like it
2) Revamp Future World in EPCOT (be it following some of the ideas of project Genesis or something else)
3) Reinvest in maintenance - rides should be in tip top shape and bathrooms are always clean
4) Add a new country or two to EPCOT (Australia, Greece, Switzerland, Brazil ... something)
5) Put front line CMs in a better position to succeed (better training, better pay, empower them to give "pixie dust", etc.)

side note, I thought it was interesting they kept the Dragon rock formation (that was to be visible form a never-built river ride) and you can see it from the Nomad Lounge at Tiffins ... there was some speculation if they would remove it with the Pandora work

1.) Replace Mickey Mouse with Duffy, the true king of Disney.

2.) Replace Cinderella Castle with Elsa's Ice Palace

3.) Retheme ToT at HS to Guardians of the Galaxy

4.) All character meals should become 3 TS credits, with a premium added for any pictures or autographs.

5.) Valet Parking at MK for $50.



I take credit for all of these suggestions, and fully anticipate Disney's support in making them happen.

1. Expanded transportation options. WDW buses are clean, air conditioned, reliable, flexible..... and boring. If we can't have more monorail what about surface trains? People Mover? At least dig some canals and put in more boats to the resorts and Epcot/HS?

2. Free range characters.

3. Broadway style shows in Disney Springs

4. Bring classic shorts and proper seating back to the Main Street Theater.

5. Do something with Innoventions E &W to make Future World actually feel like the future

Greater variety of snack/street foods in parks other than DS

More Pixar rides/attractions

Extended hours for MK all year round

Replace the dozens of gift shops with actual attractions. If I want to shop, I'll go to DS

1. Extend year-round the MNSSHP fog & Halloween atmosphere in the HM grounds and qeues;
2. Have a live jazz band on the riverboat in MK;
3. clean up Innoventions E&W and don't close/but update Sum of all Thrills;
4. bring a Samurai-themed courtyard demo to Japan Pavilion; and
5. Close Le Cellier and replace with a large hockey sports bar complete with big screens plus authentic Canadian micro brews & popular lagers & pilsners 'cause Canucks do beer best

Bonus Points: bring Australia to the World Showcase

1. Eliminate dessert parties, special event tickets, early mornings, additional cost items, etc.
2. Bring back magic moments along the lines of "Year of a Million Dreams"
3. Do something with Future World
4. Reopen Animation Academy
5. Reimagine the entertainment in WS (how I miss the World Showcase Players and Off Kilter!)

Add Australia to WS, along with a couple more countries.

Add rides to WS, Disney movie oriented is fine by me, Mulan in China, beauty and the beast in France... You get the picture.

Bring back the paid after hours event, but keep it at $75 for all.

Fix up Epcot FW so that FP+ tiering isn't necessary.

Invent teleportation so I can come much more often.... Wait... You said realistic? I'm out then.

This is a tough one. Tony, I'm not a fan of you making me think.

1 - More countries in World Showcase. I've got some ideas in my head, but ultimately ... I'll take anything new.

2 - More rides in World Showcase - I don't care if they're based on Disney movies or based on the country's culture ... I want to go into the pavilions, but the movies don't grab me, and since I'm not generally eating there, I tend to skip a lot of the pavilions.

3 - More unique character M&Gs. I don't need to see the same characters in every park. I like the different outfits, but I'd gladly trade a unique outfit for a unique character.

4 - Partner with top technology companies to bring cutting edge technology into Future World. Future World should be the newest and latest in lifestyle technology. I understand that in the world we live in that changes on a daily basis, but ... maybe make a rule that each attraction has to be revamped every two years to bring it into line with newer technological advances.

5 - Penguins at Animal Kingdom. I don't care how they do it. I like Penguins. Bonus points if they can get some dolphins (and/or orcas) from Sea World.

EDIT: I just want to clarify that when I say I like penguins, I mean the animals, not the hockey team. I hate the hockey team.

I actually really like this idea, and it's one of the big plusses that I give DL over WDW. I think bringing in a nice theatre on the West Side and adding a Disney stage show would be a big hit.

Add Switzerland Pavilion to World Showcase, along with family-coaster (bobsled style)
WoL re-imagined as Inside-Out! Pavilion
DisneyQuest favorites relocate to Innoventions
WALL-E Attraction added to Imagination! Pavilion in the Kodak Theater.

Magic Kingdom:
Dry dock the Liberty Bell for Meet and Greet to create KRR-type attraction in the Rivers of America. A new walking bridge connects BTMRR smoking area to TSI and another from TSI to HM. Queue for KRR-type ride is at Ft. Langhorn.

There, that's 5. I guess.

Interesting idea for a bracket!

1. Do something with the Imagination Pavillion.
2. Do something with Wonders of Life
3. Do something with Innoventions
4. Update Carousel of Progress
5. Add one more land to AK preferably Australia but anything would really do.
6. A new non-IP attraction in World Showcase.

I don't know if you see a theme here but Epcot needs some work...

Extend the People Mover to cover all of Magic Kingdom
Have some type of special party at all times of the year
No more ADR's only walk ups
Go back to legacy FP, with Magic Bands, but get one at a time once you enter the park
