**Winkers goes to England~It's so hard to say goodbye**

Looks to me like you did a pretty good job packing -- we always take enough for an army -- it is one of the downfalls of driving -- I just keep adding luggage to the heap.

Good! Just busy! Sorry to hear about the chicken pox in your house but at least it held off till you got home!
How is Jeff?

Did Ethan have the Chicken pox vaccine?

And waiting for next installment...popcorn::
No, he didn't. My doctor thinks it's better to not vaccinate for it unless they get past a certain age without having gotten them.

If we were driving I'd probably need to rent a uhaul for all the crap I'd decided I NEEDED to bring!

Ok, it's departure "eve"..........the day before the morning we leave.......I've gotten the kids off to school, D.Jay has hauled out all the suitcases from under Bailie's bed..........that itself is scary........her room should have yellow tape across the door......along with a toxic warnign!
Can anyone tell me why I keep using............? I'm annoying myself!

Where was I? Oh, D.Jay went to hell and back to get the suitcases which I stuffed a weeks worth of clothes into. He then took the bags from the bedroom into the living room and did other small tasks that I didn't want to do!;)

I'm so excited to go! I just want to go get the kids from school and head out early. Only 1 problem with that idea. It's only 9 a.m. and out flight isn't untill 6 a.m..

I don't remember everything I did to fill in the time but after what seemed like an eternity it was time for the kids to get home.

Around 4:30 we picked Evan up from track and headed over to my dad's so he could say goodbye. Yes, this is the Dad who has strange hallucinations at times! You just never know what you're going to get with him.....But he was "normal". He was excited for the kids and gave them each a 20. I got a hug.

We went home and the LONG wait began. The kids played outside untill it was dark, then they played on the WII. It's amazing how excited they were when we told them they could stay awake all night if they wanted to. The plan was to leave at 2 a.m., but D.Jay wanted to leave at 1:30.

Bailie was out by 10 but the rest of us stayed up the whole time. We made it to Spokane in record time....3! Yes, that's 3 hours before our flight! We headed to Denny's for our last non disney meal. We were out of there in about 45 minutes..........so we got to the airport at 4. Can you say "way too early"?

Time again slowed down to a snail's pace as we waited for the counter to open so we could check our luggage. We ended up with way to much time but we were there and on our way!

Now, as were sitting there everyone is starting to get a wee bit crabby. And I'm thinking to myself "this was a real brilliant plan Che'rie! Let's make sure everyone is sleep deprived before setting out on vacation"! I was really begining to worry that I had started our trip off on a horrible note.

You would have liked a 20 too huh!!!!

Can you say "way too early"?
Better late than never though :thumbsup2

We ended up with way to much time but we were there and on our way!
But you were there :yay: We always have to be at the airport 3 hours before our transatlantic flight, you get used to it!

putting on her make-up
Tell her she is pretty enough not to need it :goodvibes

:lmao:
Great start Cherie !! 2 weeks and we are at the Airport!!:rotfl2:
Hey! It's only been ONE week since I got home!

I am going to think positive and predict that everyone fell asleep on the flight, making them well-rested upon arrival! :thumbsup2
We have a pollyanna!:thumbsup2

We only have to be there 1 hour early. And our airport is so small it doesn't take more than 30 minutes to check in and get through security. Makes for a boring wait!

:scared1: I'm scared about the sleep deprivation! We got to the airport way to early for our trip too. :dance3:

Me too!:rotfl:

Nothing like starting a nice relaxing vacation with no sleep.:lmao:

Isn't it funny how kids these days can be in the worst mood but you put a camera in front of them and they can turn on that smile.
Guess this generation is use to having a camera in front of them from the time of birth.

Like the one with you and DH.

I hope the sleep dep didn't come back to haunt you like it did us.

And I use the ........ a lot too. :rolleyes1

North, east & west of here is pretty. I'm in the lower columbia basin. there aren't even any hills! I'm about 2 hrs west of spokane.

Gotcha, I haven't been in that part, I have been in Eastern and coming from the west went as far as Ellinsberg and then when north to Lake Chelan. I suppose if it is similar to the tri-city area I can see what you mean. :goodvibes

Sounds like a good start to your trip, I hope that you all slept on the plane and were happy and well rested when you got there, but I have a feeling it didn't quite go that well. ;) Looking forward to reading more.

We too had a 6am flight and got there super early with no sleep the night before. Hope you guys got some sleep on the plane.

Yep, it's just like tri-cities. I'm about an hour north.

We too had a 6am flight and got there super early with no sleep the night before. Hope you guys got some sleep on the plane.

Nice to know I'm not the only one with "brilliant" ideas!;)

Take it from me it is way better to be at the airport early than late. When we went we left too late and almost missed our plane.:scared1:
I do hope the kids slept on the plane. I can't wait to hear more.

Cherie I am always pushing to get to the airport 3 hours early!! :scared1: DD always gives me the "LOOK"!!:lmao: But I would rather be there 3 hours early than running thru the airport as they are announcing "FINAL CALL!!!!!:scared1:
